People, check this out:

I really feel like hitting someone...:fero::fero:

Macedonia-Ucraina 1-0

Roughly, it says that in the first half of the friendly Macedonia-Ukraine, Sheva got his nose broken after a collision with some Macedonia player and that he is basically out for an undetermined amount of time. Which could go anywhere between a month to 2 months...:fero::fero: :mad:

This must be some sort of cast spelt on us by some vodoo...now that everything seems going so well, first Nesta, then Seedorf, and now Sheva...:groan::fero::mad:

I can see very easily all the great things we've built so far going up in smoke in less time than it takes to say "hi"...:groan::mad: :depress:

I mean, Pippo is cold ice, Tomasson scores but he's nowhere near Sheva, so who's going to score now that our best man is no longer available for the remaining of the season?:depress: Brocchi?:rollani: Boriello? :groan: or Abate?:groan:

I dont know what to think anymore...:depress:

I feel like screaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel like breaking something and someone and now!!!!:fero::mad: :fero::mad: I need an Interista NOW!!!:fero::fero:
MA VAFFA....:groan::groan: :mad::fero:

No-Cheers. I'm completely gutted...:fero::depress:

San Siro, that sucks dude!!!

However, Dagoods still thinks...AC MILAN will win their 17th Scudetto...but as far as the CL goes??? it's going to be a little tougher now...but since AC MILAN is such a great team...Dagoods is sure they'll go far in the competition!

By the time the semi finals come around, Shevchenko will hopefully be close to returning. I'm sure he could borrow Maldini's mask.

What a shame though. Luckily, it was his nose which isn't important in soccer, unless your Maradona. :pp

The Scudetto is pretty much wrapped up so he isn't needed there, only to secure his goalscoring award. :D The Champions League semi finals (if we make it ;)) are on April 23/24 and May 4/5. So he has 3 weeks before the first leg and 5 weeks before the second leg.

Forza Sheva!

You guys just have to face it and go on. Over at Inter this is a weekly routine to have someone taken out. Sometimes its an accident, and other times its brutal, like Emre's injury in the box by Juve in the Coppa SF. He is still out of action b/c of that very PK deserving tackle. So just tough it up, and go on. No need to cry.

From the official site:

Now, my Italian is not that good, but I can tell that it says that Sheva didn't brake his nose.....so he should be back soon.....someone care translating for more information?

but all in all, it doesn't sound that bad

Didn't Maldini break his nose last season and was back after a week and half, he wore a face mask of course.

And SHeva already broke his nose two years ago :( But he wasn't out for 2 months I don't think...

Plus last month when he wasn't scoring we had enough players to contribute...

Exactly, me too. I didn't take this post seriously because my friend Maher told me it was probably an April fools joke and Payman never gets so sad. :D

I was last night at the stadium in Skopje, and everything was going great. Fans were cheering to Sheva and most of them came because of him.
Sheva wasn't very interested in playing although he created very good chance for one of his team mates.

And then some player (animal) elbow Sheva and the ball wasn't near. After this Sheva layed on the ground, and the refeere didn't call for faoul and that player (the animal Milan Stojanovski) even didn't apologise.
When Sheva saw all the blood and I think that he broke a tooth, he was so pissed off that he refused to play and headed to the dressing rooms.

I didn't believe that, because this was friendly and even Macedonia was leading and Sheva wasn't that kind of threat.

The local Radio reported that he had broken few tooths and after the game was sent to hospital.

FORZA SHEVA!

According to press reports, his nose is not broken. Even if he was he wouldn't have been out long. Such an injury, while painful, is not really a hindrance to playing.
On the "plus" side I think we just got a clue as to how badly Payman would react to Milan's NOT winning it all this year. So for his sake (and the sake of all around Toronto--heck the whole Eastern part of North America all the way down to Lav's neck of the woods) they'd best keep on winning or there could be a true "Schleprock Situation" over there. :D

ROSSONERI INJURY LIST
01 April 2004 16:42

MILANELLO - The x-ray for Sandro Nesta showed no more damage and the defender can return to training. Andriy Shevchenko did not train after suffering a facial injury in Ukraine's friendly at Macedonia. Kaladze is recovering while Inzaghi did some running.
The players on international duty (Pirlo, Gattuso, Pancaro, Ambrosini, Rui Costa, Laursen and Tomasson) are fine and just went through a warm-down at training.
