Well, probably when Juve and Milan fans will ready this post here, they are likely to think "Oh, these Lazio fans, always going for excuses, even the most ridiculous". But then again, what the hell Juve and Milan fans know about bad luck at all? Can the richest man on Earth be aware of what does it mean to be hit by bad luck? Sampdoria are still wondering how have they lost against Milan a match that they well deserved to win, last season. This season Milan have lost their luck and evryone can now see their true strength.
Juventus, admittingly, have tasted a wee bit of bad luck last season. As they are not used at that, they couldn't fight against bad luck and were sheer crap. This season the lucky star is back on Juventus: no player injured so far and the refs...
Things are quite different at Lazio: week in week out, a player got injured. You have to play an all important Champions Cup match away to Valencia, so that you need a strong defense. What happens: yeah, your best defender Nesta gets injured! And don't forget your goalkeeper as well, for good measure. You need your currently best striker to recover from the 5-2 first leg defeat. What happens: Simone Inzaghi gets injured!
Bad luck!
This season Lazio have hit more posts than Amo, and some of them was deadly decisive such as in both games against Feyenoord, but no wonder, we are used to bad luck. And I don't want to talk about referees... Many people say that the real problem at Lazio is that they are lacking in fighting spirit: totally wrong. This has been a wretched season for Lazio, yet WE ARE STILL THERE, ALIVE, KICKING AND STILL FIGHTING FOR THE SCUDETTO.
For the next season, what about a pre-season tour in a few lovely places such as Fàtima, Santiago de Compostela and Lourdes? Perhaps this tour could be more effective than the buy of a new player!
