Freddy Ljungberg has now a confirmed hip injury and will now go through surgery. The recovery time is at it's best 2 months, but swedish NT doctor says that such an injury requires atleast 3 months of rest.
This means that Ljungberg will miss out on the two first Euro2004 qualifiers against Latvia (sept 7) and Hungary (oct 12)
But the question is if Ljungberg will be such a great loss
We managed pretty well without him against Argentina and there are sufficient replacements, such as Blomqvist.
The tricky part about Blomqvist is that he said that he still hasn't come over being left out from the WC squad and is not sure if he WANTS to participate in NT activities :sigh:
So Sweden might be facing a pretty huge left winger problem, and for once it's not the defenders, but the midfield
What do you think will be the solutions? Got any ideas of your own perhaps?
