Tough game at Palma. The team will probably be tired after the trip to Istanbul and we've only beaten Mallorca away from home once in several years.

Bench: Asenjo, Perea, Domínguez, Assunçao, Arda, Saúl y Fran Mérida

The team is as follows in the video. That means only one player will be rested after the game against BJK; Arda. I'm genuinely worried about Gabi and Adrián who just keep playing game after game without being rested but I suppose Simeone, Moño, Profe and the medical staff know what they're doing here. Mallorca have got some players back from injury and they were good in the second half against Valencia last weekend. They were completely outplayed in the first half though. Tissone is back from injury but won't be starting while the same applies to Cendrós as well as Pina.

Interesting thing I read as well is that Chori Castro visited Godín in the team hotel yesterday, so that might add some speculations.

Mallorca: Aouate, Chico Flores, Nunes, Ramis, Cáceres, Martí, Tejera, Chori Castro, Pereira, Tomer and Víctor Casadesús

First half is horrendous. The lack of freshness is obvious on the pitch and the players first touch is really letting them down, most notable on Gabi and Adrián who're losing possession too often. I'd take off Koke and replace him with Arda because right now, we haven't got someone who's fresh and can keep the ball at his feet when getting under pressure. I also don't understand why Koke is taking all the set-pieces when Gabi's very good in this department. We also have to play it a lot more direct because right now it's starting to look like the game at Vicente Calderón where we couldn't break them down.

Atlético's created one good chance through Mario who put the ball wide. Mallorca have been just as bad but they've managed to create two chances where they possibly could've scored. The last one before HT was a very good one.

The pressing game and collective defending is pretty good though, wonder for how long the players can keep it up though.

The two goals Atlético goes on to allow are just horrible. The first is ridicolous and so frustrating, you can't get more lucky than that. Second is basically a bad decision by Godín who's too far up the pitch. Panic started showing. Simeone calmed it down somewhat but Falcao goes on to miss that crucial penalty. Falcao was always going to miss a penalty sooner or later, I hate those Paradinha type of penalties. The goal is just classy but also Aouate's fault, he's standing too far out from his goal. Has to be said though, Atlético should've equalized through Mérida, he missed a sitter. Otherwise though, he did look very good during the game. Made quite a lot of good through pass which our players, often Salvio or Adrián wasted with bad decision making. Apart from this though, we didn't have too many chances inside the penalty area, it was mostly shots from outside the box.

Salvio's decision making and first touch today..absolutely horrendous. A disaster. That's what I hate about him, he just has to improve it. Btw, I can't believe this referee, how can you not add on more minutes when Aouate is taking a minute to get the ball out into play and Pereira lies on the ground for more than two minutes.

This was bound to happen though, we'd run out of steam eventually. I just hope the players will manage to recover for the mid-week game which we have to win now.
