Ivanov is a great player. I’m sad how Craiova are falling apart under Piti.. he made the mess with Pigliacelli and we suffer.. we better make some good transfers in the winter and hope for a miraculous turnaround.

I hoped for better from this team, the problem is the players change too often get injured or out of form too easily. Need more consistency and no stupidities like the Pigliacelli-Piti one. Sad.

Seems CFR got transfer banned due FFP, not good for their chances vs Sevilla..

Ivanov Cicaldau Vatajelu Ivan Barbut Mihaila had some good moments in the game but unfortunately toothless most of the time, unlucky in others, but overall just weak.

That said, Coman and Man are a great pair of wingers/forwards, and the former in particularly great form lately. I just hate to see Becali FC win again with his luck having bought those youngsters but simultaneously still screwing our football by not giving them up when he should, discounting them in times they need support not hate and such extreme discouragement / being dropped for weeks to months, etc. And even with any money he makes and has ever made, he doesn’t invest enough or well to make any real progress as a club in Europe. I would love to see the likes of Craiova, Rapid, Petrolul, U Cluj, Arges, Timisoara etc fighting this fake Steaua / Gigi FC and boring old CFR who will still find a way to mess things up next summer regardless of what happens lol.

Of course Becali doesn't deserve it. But Vintila is doing quite fine, and for the level of Liga I it is enough. Craiova looks lost tough

I considered only first team players (no academy or reserves), including players on loan from other clubs but not any loaned out elsewhere (i.e. Alex Ionita counts for Craiova and not CFR Cluj). And for players with multiple nationalities, I only count their main/first citizenship.

This will certainly change a bit by the end of the month, but I can update it again then.

Club count for each country:
14: Romania
9: France
8: Portugal, Croatia
6: Brazil, Moldova
5: Italy
4: Spain, Bulgaria
3: Netherlands, Argentina, Greece, Serbia, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Slovakia, Bosnia
2: Lithuania, Austria, Mali, Switzerland, Albania, Nigeria, Algeria, Macedonia, DR Congo, Venezuela
1: Kosovo (soon to be 0 with Loshaj going to Cracovia), Burkina Faso, French Guiana, Suriname, Denmark, Czech Republic, Comoros, Guinea, Chile, Sudan, Republic of the Congo, Germany, Israel, Montenegro, Guinea-Bissau, Japan, Slovenia

Surprised by how many clubs have Croatians and Italians. For such a small country, players from Cape Verde have often enjoyed a decent reputation in our league (Varela, Nuno Rocha, Kay, Lima, Platini, Tavares, Rambe, etc), and it shows.

Cape Verde players are interesting for our clubs. Generally they are decent, have some kind of experience in Europe (esp. Portugal) and I bet they are cheap. Probably they adapt better to Romania than other Africans.

Traditionally, Romania brought more players from Serbia than from Croatia. But now it's changing.
