Conclusion
So one of the most historic La Liga encounters will take place tomorrow night once again. It's overflowing to say we'll welcome one of the best teams and players of the world.
However, their main and only target left this season is winning the Champions League, they don't care too much about the league anymore and especially in away games they're not untouchable, those are reasons for some hope.
About 200 fans of the Merengues will support their team in San Mamés, but the club promised Ultras Sur won't be amongst them, let's hope the club did well in this case.
I think we can do it, beat the most hated team in Euskadi.

Aupa Athletic! :fero:

My prediction: 2-1

I see Levante have dropped their trousers for Deportivo.

Staggering since after the Getafe defeat a win for Levante would have left them one point off 8th place which will achieve a European place next season.

No real surprise really I suppose since they took a big brown envelope off us not so long ago on the last day of the season!

All we need is Zaragoza to upset the Catalans!

Little chance of getting anything out of this realistically.

We're doomed,doomed I tell you!

I knew The Book Of Revelations wasn't appropriate light bedtime reading...

Very good performance so far. Bad start but they recovered and played well, Llorente has probably been the worst player so far. Ramalho has been great but he gets some trouble on one on ones. Iraola and Toquero are the only established first team players that could raise the performance, Toquero will probably replace Muniain, Llorente or Ibai. It would be interesting to try Ramalho at CB to move San José to play next to Iturraspe or take over his position but this has worked well so far so it might be stupid to make changes until it's clear how the game develops.

Forgot: Susa should have had a penalty in the first half and now Xabi Alonso should have had his second yellow for an elbow on Mikel.

Ref has been abysmal, made bad calls in our favour too, though...

I really appreciate the intensity and effort from Athletic players, somewhat reminiscent of last season...but they seem motivated enough only against big clubs this season...

Will be really disappointed if we lose this one, even by one goal

San Jose needless foul then he and Ramalho let Ronaldo jump between them...neither picked him up and looked to be taking zonal marking very literally.

Shame because it's been a decent performance let down by two fouls and two set piece goals.

Llorente is totally out of rhythm - terrible timing with anything he does and a big portion of selfishness (still wants to prove himself to the fans but fails anytime)
