Valverde said he will make some changes in the lineup. Probable return of Laporte and De Marcos. Balenziaga (bad performances lately) and Susaeta (tired) have chances of starting in the bench as well.

Probable XI

Gorka Iraizoz

Óscar de Marcos - Carlos Gurpegi - Aymeric Laporte - Enric Saborit

Mikel Rico - Ander Iturraspe

Markel Susaeta - Ander Herrera - Iker Muniain

Aritz Aduriz

Bench:
GK Iago Herrerín
DF Mikel San José
DF Andoni Iraola
DF Mikel Balenziaga
MF Erik Morán
FW Guillermo Fernández
FW Kike Sola

Injured: Ibai Gómez
Out: Borja Ekiza, Unai Albizua, Xabi Etxeita, Beñat Etxebarria, Gaizka Toquero.

Good to see the regular full backs getting a rest and this looks quite an attacking line up.

Granada have the best defensive record away from home outside the top five but the worst scoring record away in the whole division with just 8 goals.

However they have recorded 4 wins and 2 draws so cannot be underestimated.

I was at this fixture last year around Easter time and we won 1-0 to ensure our survival. It was a scrapy game settled by AA heading home from close range.
They then hit the inside of the post in stoppage time but thankfully the ball rebounded to one of our players...phew...

Home win hopefully..onwards and upwards.

Piti not included in their squad...arguably their most potent threat in front of goal with 5 of their 22 league goals from 18 starts.

Bit of a boost for us.

We are a bit unlucky of having such a bad weather this week in Bilbao and playing against probably the strongest team in teh league, from a physicall point of view. Not that we are weak, but Granada would be easier with the pitch in good condition.

Physically strong players not as mobile and lots of late tackles on a wet pitch maybe = cards..same applies to a few of our larger units of course.

Cracking header of a superb cross from Andoni...1-0.

Aduriz has now scored our last 4 goals v Granada.

El Arabi has scored Granada's last 3 goals v Athletic...lets hope he doesn't make it four.

Aduriz with a header from a Iraola with snow on. Well done by Aritz, but it shouldn't be possible. Very bad defence, but thank you:)

Aduriz just scored the goal of his career.

Nice build up then he let fly from 22 yards and the ball was still rising when crashing into the top corner via the underside of the bar.

Truely stunning.

HT 2-0.

In control but El Arabi has looked threatening playing between the two CH'S in the high Athletic defensive line.

Also Rico could offer himself a little more in mid field when tracking back.

Hat Trick Aduriz!!

Cool penalty chipped down the middle.

Game over now with Granada also picking up a red card in the penalty incident.

That was a good penalty waiting for the goalie to make a move (not like Muniain's penalty:))
Harsh, but I believe it was a correct red card, although I don't like those rules...

Aduriz had a chance for his fourth, but couldn't make the finish.
Gurpe scored the fourth goal, great to hear San Mames sing his name afterwards:)

Looked like an own goal to me but Gurpegi claiming it.

Iker's pen was first class!!

The normally stingy and obdurate Granada defence is being ripped to pieces.
