Atletico travel to Camp Nou to take on Barcelona, a fixture which is known to produce great amount of goals and classic encounters. The last 3 meetings at this venue will not enthuse Atleti supporter nor the recent form of the team. Since the dawn of the new year Atleti have slumped both in confidence and standings.

Barca looks unbeatable at the moment. Their mid week match against Almeria saw them book a date with Real Madrid in the Copa final and they are also in a good scoring form.

Quique has recovered his key players from injury except for Raul Garcia & Mario Suarez. Perea is suspended after receiving the red card against Bilbao last week.

The following 18 players are called up:

Goalkeepers
13 De Gea.
27 Joel.

Defenders
2 Valera.
3 Antonio López.
14 Filipe Luis.
15 Godín.
17 Ujfalusi.
18 Álvaro Domínguez.

Midfielders
5 Tiago.
9 Elías.
11 Fran Mérida.
12 Paulo Assunção.
19. Reyes
20 Juanfran.
32 Koke.

Forwards
7 Forlán.
10 Agüero.
22 Diego Costa

It is not going to be easy match but we have the players who can hurt Barcelona. Just hoping for the best here.

What else is he suppose to do? It's Barca at home. Unless you pressure them like crazy for 90 minutes, or just refuse to attack at all, there's nothing you can do...

First mistake - to start with Antonio Lopez. He is a calamity.

Part of what you're saying is right, Ram, we should've made an effort to keep the ball instead of hitting it long as soon as they started their high pressure. The goal weren't really special and I think Atlético have handled them rather well from a tactical point of view. The players are standing right but they always seem to win the ball in crucial moments which is a problem and has to get solved. The players should know that Messi will go that way on the first goal, Paulo basically blocks Filipe who's about to stop Messi from shooting while the second goal is so lucky.

Atlético have to put away the few chances the team manages to create and the set pieces have to improve a lot. We're never going to beat a team like this away from home if we don't improve on dead ball situations offensively, that's where Barcelona should struggle. We also need to pass the ball a lot faster, there was a good improvement in the last ten minutes of the first half where we suddenly started going forward because that feeling of "making misstakes" dissappeared.

Perhaps we should've started Juanfran since he's good at keeping the ball at his feet, we need those type of players.

Still not convinced with Fran.
Still learning his trade IMO, he doesn't really have much of the ball and that's where he can show his best quality.
