FT Getafe 1 - Atletico 1

Aguero scored in the first half and Getafe missed a penalty through De La Red 6 minutes before the final whistle.

This is like a win! :proud: We're two points ahead of Racing and four better than Sevilla.

My only concern at the moment is how Atlético plays without Simão and the fact that Deportivo La Coruñas form has been amazing, they're only 6 points behind us.

Last years Villarreal, definitely.

Definitely.

Atlético misses Simão big time and Reyes was on his way back, he also promised to change his attitude and work hard, let's see how this'll turn out though.

I don't like this dull 4-4-2-system Aguirre uses all the time, this club screams for a midfielder who can pass the ball and dictate the tempo. Also, we would take a bigger advantage of Maxi Rodríguez if we played a 4-1-3-2-system with him behind Forlán and Agüero.

is true about this zoric, aguirre always put the same boring shit in every match and is killing me completly..i want to see aguero, forlan, reyes, simao, maxi, raul garcia all there in the same time from the beginner, is true our defenders suck completly but with this team it wouldnt matter

With Simao and Reyes out injured Aguirre should have tried something different given that we are not clicking in the last 2 matches with somethign like packing the mid field instead of again going in for wide play. Maybe should have tried Luis Garcia upfront with Forlan with Aguero behind them.

Luis García isn't really a winger and doesn't seem to have the confidence to go 1-on-1 at this stage. We could've started Miguel if we wanted to play on our wings, but Aguirre always insists on starting Luis on one of the flanks.

Aguirre didn't want to change his formation against Kayseri Erciyesspor and skip that extra pivote, so I don't think we can hope for any bigger or direct changes.

He seems to be a pretty limited coach from the two seasons he's managed Atlético, I don't want to say that he is a limited coach because I don't know him personally, but this team isn't reaching it's potential with him starting the same old 4-4-2 with a double pivote..

Don't worry, one of Racing, Sevilla or Depor will take it away from Atlético.

:howler:

Deportivo is reminding me more and more of last years Villarreal who came back and grabbed a UEFA Cup-spot infront Real Zaragoza and Atlético.

That seems to be this clubs destiny, to fail..

There's still four rounds to play and Atlético has a pretty tough schedule ahead of them, including games against Deportivo, Valencia and Espanyol, the latter two away from home.

This club will most likely screw up in the last minute of Primera División, nothing surprises me any longer when it comes to Atlético de Madrid.

Sevilla on the other hand has Real Valladolid at home, Racing away at El Sardinero, Betis away and Athletic at home.

Comparing this to Racings game against Murcia, Sevilla, Athletic away from home and Osasuna at El Sardinero. That means they've got three home games and one away, this'll be tough as hell..

I worry more about the Deportivo-game than Valencia.

Espanyol can be beaten away from home even though Atlético will struggle big time if Simão is still out by then.

This club needs Reyes back, he's got a chance of proving himself now that Simão is injured.
