It seems FC Levski coach Stanimir Stoilov has a serious problem to solve and it comes from the slow recovery of veteran Daniel Borimirov. The most experienced player of FC Levski got injured two weeks ago in a match against Lokomotiv Mezdra from the Bulgarian National Cup tournament. Since then, Borimirov has not trained with the team and he may miss the matches of the team until the winter recess. Worst of all, Borimirov will also miss the match against Levski's lifelong enemy on the pitch - CSKA. The derby is on December 2.

Still, the team doctors said they would do their best to "resuscitate" him by the beginning of the next month.

"Our management are trying hard to talk Brazilian draft Joaozinho into quitting Brazil's national team," said FC Levski owner Todor Batkov.

The young player has received an invitation to join the U-19 national team of his country.

"If he declines the invitation, he will be called in the Bulgarian national team, something which will hardly happen, if he chooses to play for Brazil," Batkov added.

He said that FC Levski had paid 900,000 euros for the eighteen-year-old Brazilian player. Levski's other Brazilian draft, Joan Carlos, costs 700,000 US dollars. However, the two will not be put on the team list for the derby against CSKA on December 2.

"We are not particular about the referee's nationality, but I think that the management of CSKA are making too much of it. If they give us a call, I'm sure we'll reach an agreement on the issue. I'm not worried by the fact that they are eight points ahead of us. In the end, we will be celebrating the title," Batkov added.

Unfortunately, FC Levski's French striker Cedric Bardon got injured in the friendly against FC Vihren, which the Blue won 3-1 after goals of Jayeoba, Topuzakov and Stefan Stanchev. Tanko Dyakov scored for the guests.

But Sliven in A:thmbdown:

Unless people there get excited enough to seriously visit their games like it would be with teams like Dunav + maybe Minyor and Etar. It really pisses me off when someone start pumping money into obscure teams and with almost no away fans, the atmosphere is kinda off-putting as there is no one to call "peasant":D

After the return of the two PFC Levski Moroccan U-21 nationals from their trip to Botswana for Olympic 2008 qualifier, Youssef Rabeh joined today's training session without any problem.

Chakib Benzoukane however did not appear as result of a serious injury in the left thigh and is definitely missing the forthcoming championship tie vs.PFC Lokomotive Sofia on 24 November.

Even though on individual training programme, the naturalized Brazilian Lucio Wagner is recuperating well and will probably be on the line-up list this Saturday.

The condition of the French midfielder Cedric Bardon looks more optimistic after today's MRI. Hopefully, Daniel Borimirov and Georgi Petkov had today for the first time a full training session after their recent injuries.

Daniel Borimirov will play for Levski in the derby match vs Lokomotiv Sofia this Saturday. The veteran player has been treating an injury of his right knee for about twenty days now. Yesterday, the midfielder took active part in Levski practice and coach Stanimir Stoilov will list him for the match against Lokomotiv.

Cedric Bardon's participation for the match vs Lokomotiv is unclear yet. He trains on an individual programme. Today the French player is to undergo a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging that will clarify his condition.
