Legend players

Bazzani is finding an agreement with Mezzolara, serie D club. Mezzolara is a club from Budrio, near Bologna, so Bazzani is simply moving back home before retiring. I find much more dignifying leaving football this way than leaving it with with a world cup flop.

but later we knew the real reason why Bazzani left, a squarrel with Novellino. Flachi helped them making peace, both Novellino and Bazzani admitted they were wrong, Bazzani came back... what a lovely end! roud:

And yes, Bazzani is now happily married with Alessia Merz and they also have two children.

Man.City played a game in Poznań, where I live (same date we hosted Metalist). I realized Mancino is City coach and he is in Poznań when I saw him at TV screen...If I had realized it earlier I would had tried to see/meet him...

Interesting fact is that Palombo needs just 4 games to be better than Moreno Mannini in number of games played for Samp. If he play this 4 games he will be 5th best player in club history. It looks like this:

1. Mancini 566
2. Vierchovod 358
3. Bernasconi 336
4. Vialli 326
5. Mannini 320
6. Palombo 317

Quite easy he can better than Vialli too (of course number of games played )
These are stats from all competitions, with only SerieA games Palombo is 7th with 277 games.

Just Mancini looks absolutely out of reach. Great achievement anyway. :thumbsup:

Open question about Cassano...
I am sure that 1 or 2 more seasons spent with us and we would call him legend player. After this split...I don't know?

Fact is that, as Toni has written, he was most tallented player in our team from Mancini era, he played 115 games for us, scored 41 goals (in all competitions) and gave us a lot of magic moments...

I think that we can call him "legend player".

He is legendary both as a football player and as a troublemaker. For me it's mostly a legendary troublemaker and this is the memory I will keep of him.

Pazzini stats in Samp:
Games in all competitions: 87, goals: 48
Games in SerieA: 75, goals: 36
Games in Coppa Italia: 7, goals: 7
Games in Europe: 5, goals: 5

Two or three more seasons and he would had became one of our best scorers of all time...

Maybe he's not so legend at our club (Even taht he scored some goals for us), but I was wandered about Emiliano Bonazzoli.
Where does he play, or he retired already?

He has had a very good season with Reggina in serie B and could come back to serie A if Reggina win the promotion playoffs.

I called my son almost like Bonazzoli's name-EMILIAN

I doubt Bonazzoli would like to come back to Sampdoria and I also doubt we could be interested in getting him anyway.

Yesterday Bonazzoli scored 2 goals, and helped Reggina to qualify for the Serie A Playoff match, against Padova.

Err... Reggina are out, Novara went through to the final.
