...no thread so far ? What are you guys doing :pp

What do you think ? A tough one no ?

The toughest match so far, without any doubt. They have a brilliant team and a nice coach, but they are beatable, especially if we stick Brocchi by Hamsik and block his movements. Without him, Napoli are just an average team.

Also, Rozenhal should start and keep an eye on Lavezzi.

Being depressed. ;)

Er, the Milan away game is always the toughest for us.

Anyway, I just read that Rocchi got injured again, so Rossi's dilemma will be an easy one and it will be Fo-Za-Pa in attack again. Napoli are quality though for some reason I very rarely get to watch them. Let's hpe they will play much worse away from home as usual and that our lads will react like after the Milan game.

I am reading that Pandev is hurt as well. He said he will play but the word in Italy is that he might not. Can anyone give us some info.
Thanks

wow...
a game between my 2 favorite teams (i won't say who is my absolute favorite though)

had it was a home game for napoli, i would forecast a napoli victory...but since its an away game for them, i see a draw or a high scoring victory for lazio...

btw, yes, hamsik is dangerous, but lavezzi is more dangerous. remember this.........

Aye, Pandev left the training session before its end, but he should be playing tomorrow, at least according to gazzetta.it. I hope our 3 man midfield will be able to stand up against their five midfielders, especially Gargano and Hamsik will test our men in the middle hard. Dabo has to improve a lot if we want to have some chances to win in style. Rozehnal on Lavezzi is not the smartest move (euphemistically speaking), our fastest central defender is Siviglia, provided Radu plays on the left tomorrow to try to stop Maggio, whereas the Czech looks fitter to mark Denis, if "El Tanque" will play. As Anomander said, Rocchi is injured again and will miss Napoli and Chievo, so gazzetta.it lines up these starters:

This could be a high scoring game with Lavezzi-Hamsik set against Pandev-Zarate-Foggia. And I still think we have to play Radu in the center, maybe even with Lichtsteiner or De Silvestri as LB. But most of all we have avoid a mental collapse, hopefully the crowd will be a big factor for that. Ledesma, Brocchi and Dabo will have to run a lot, let's see of Christian will be bothered to do it this time.

the main thing lazio need to do is double mark lavezzi...he is by far their most dangerous player....hamsik on the other hand has been scoring alot of goals but hasn't been as good as last season in other aspects of his game...maggio and gargano are dangerous too...

Gazzetta's live coverage has Manfredini and Mauri in the starting line-up!?! Has Rossi gone mad? Please, let this be a mistake and we play with Foggia in the line-up.

Maybe I should have refrained from predicting a high scoring game. :) I am not watching apart from slide show like stream but we are usually better in the second half, so 0-0 so far it's not bad.

I officially hate football, what an annoying way to lose a game. Unlucky own goal and then Inzaghi tries to be all acrobatic instead of leaving Zarate score an empty-netter. :( Nonetheless Inzaghi was more useful than Mauri at least in the minutes I saw (last 35 or so). We simply cannot go on with crossing to Zarate and Pandev who play as support strikers...supporting no one.

EDIT: What's with Serie A refs lately, in the minutes I have watched this moron gave like a dozen totally non existent fouls.

napoli played a very smart game today. hamsik was non-existent but the dangerman, lavezzi, did all the damage...they got a very strong defense with the likes of santacroce and aronica...lazio were the better side...they had so many clear opportunities that i can't believe the scoreline...
on the positive side, zarate and pandev seem to have great understanding...there one-twos were really awesome.

After our great start of the season we are coming down to earth fast. This was such a frustrating match. We really dominated them, but we wasted our opportunities and especially Mauri had some chances in the first half.

Unfortunately it went just as I feared. Whoever got the first goal was sure to win the match. Napoli got lucky and we didn't. Argh.

It's painful to lose this way, especially against napoli. We certainly got enough chances, but if you don't make them count...

Stinging defeat. The first half was quite balanced, what with Zàrate missing a few good chances, a free kick from Gargano hit the crossbar and then Carrizo saved on Denis coming up on to score from close range. Ledesma tried his usual assortement of long range shots, but all of them went wide, one resembling rather rugby than football. In the seconf half, Napoli were more active than in the first, but their goal was lucky. Lavezzi run to the end of the pitch and from the sideline crossed, the ball hit on Siviglia and went to far end in the goal. The rest of the match was Lazio attacking, but more out of rage than with some rationality.

Manfredini. If Rossi wanted him to help Radu in containing Maggio, than mission accomplished. But it was a fact that evry time Manfredini touched the ball, the speed of Lazio actions decreased dramatically. And for a team who base their play ALSO on quick counterattacks, that's a big burden. I thought Rossi was going to replace him at the beginning of second half, but I was too optimistic (hell, I would have never thought of writing these words, actually...).

Best players: Siviglia did a good match, despite his deflection who roiginated Napoli's goal. Radu too was good. Carrizo has finally showed something similar to a save. Lichtsteiner played well, as usual...

After the sweet September, it's an awkward October...

... especially since in November Lazio will play 4 times out of 5 at the Olimpico, including the derby. "Nice" would be nice. Anyway, yesterday was a step forwards compared to Bologna. Not that it was so hard to improve from the Bologna game, but the boys played with some fighting spirit, at least. Than, you can lose or win, ALSO depending on how the wheel of luck is spinning.
