The tridente stays. Radu and Ledesma are suspended. Siviglia most likely out with an injury, which means the probable formation will be:

Carrizo
Lichtsteiner-Diakite-Rozehnal-Kolarov
Brocchi-Dabo-Mauri
Pandev-Rocchi-Zarate

Well you guys know how I feel about Brocchi, and Mauri has had enough chances as well. With Ledesma out, I can see one of them starting (probably Brocchi. sigh...) to get a bit more defensive coverage, but Meghni should get the other spot.

In defense having Kolarov instead of Radu can be positive. A big chance for Diakite...

Aren't you forgetting a certain someone called Cribari? Although him and Radu will probably be too slow of a CB pairing. Too bad Siviglia got injured at the exact time Radu is suspended, I would have loved to see him back as CB.
Also, I think it's about time to move Lichtsteiner to midfield, a midfield with Brocchi and Mauri these days is woefully inadequate.

There have been reports in the last few weeks that Cribari and Rossi had a fall out, and at the time Cribari didn't even get called up for the games, though last week he did get called up, but I'm not sure if he was on the bench or not. Plus most of the papers that PdL have on their site say that Diakhite will play in case Siviglia doesn't make it back.

As for the midfield, I agree with you. Move Lichtsteiner to midfield along side Dabo and Meghni, with De Silvestri at right back. I would also give the trident another go. Pity for Foggia though

I'm not forgetting Cribari, it's just that Diakite is according to reports the probable replacement to Siviglia...I certainly don't mind giving Diakite an opportunity, though.

Lichtsteiner to midfield sounds good enough to me.

Brocchi - Dabo - Mauri. That's a nightmare of a midfield as none of them are in form. Menghi can rightfully take the the place of Mauri but we all know it ain't gonna happen. I'm all for giving Lichty the chance in midfield as I don't believe these three duds can make it.

Will be interesting to see how we fare against another team that's in form. Big test for our defence to be up against a dangerman like Milito.

Meghni should start for Mauri on this one.
He should be given a chance.

Also, I am eager to see Foggia-Zarate-Rocchi from the start, for the first time.

It looks like Siviglia will be playing, so I think Lazio defense should be the "usual" one, with the exception of Kolarov for Radu.
Also it seems that Foggia will be in the starting 11 instead of Pandev. The rest, it's only in Rossi's mind and we will know about which midfielders will begin this difficult match. De Silvestri looked quite out of form in the few times he played this season, but Ledesma's absence is one of those cases when "emergency" is not a mis-used word. Cristian is maybe the one player at Lazio without proper replacement.

Line up is indeed a surprising one:

Carrizo
Lichtsteiner
Cribari
Rozehnal
Kolarov
Brocchi
Dabo
Meghni
Foggia
Pandev (captain)
Zàrate

The Lazio players wear a black armband for the death of the Communist MP and journalist Sandro Curzi, a Lazio fan.

Kolarov is the only player that has been trying with his shooting, but the rest of Lazio have been off so far. Genoa got robbed on that so called "offside".

We are quite terrible...seems like there is a law or something against us scoring in first halves. Genoa were robbed a blatantly legitimate goal and all we do is either dive or wait to be fouled. Pandev and Brocchi are total ghosts, Meghni had one great run and about half a dozen fouls against him, Foggia only fouls won. At least Cribari actually looks decent and Carrizo seems confident. I propose we sub Pandev for Rocchi and try for once to have off the ball movement, it's so lacking in our game. One gets the ball, starts dribbling or looking to pass while the rest stroll around with the speed of turtles or run in some weird direction.

0-0 at halftime and a pretty boring match.

It is indeed a surprising lineup but it isn't working too well. Meghni is an upgrade on Mauri but he is not a world beater of any kind. Good action though when he stole the ball in midfield and sent it just wide.

Dabo is just horrible. He is slow, mistimes his tackles and can't pass the ball to save his life.

The attacking three isn't working at all. Foggia, Pandev and Zarate all like to drift wide which means we have NO presence in the box what so ever. They aren't arriving at any chances and our best player in attack has been Kolarov.

We're lucky the ref called back that goal for Genoa...

Well, I knew it would have been hard without Ledesma, but not this almost total lack of play. Only dangers came from Kolarov's kicks and a nice move from Meghni whose shot went wide. For the rest, I wonder where is that free flow of play our players showed in the first games?

Milito should've scored a long time ago, now he doesn't have a single goal. Poor penalty.

Well, we played much beter in the second half but still we got only a draw. One wonders what might have happened had we actually started to play in that fashion. Rocchi's movement was quite vital, if only he had scored that chance minutes before Genoa's goal...I have no idea what possessed Rossi to take out Meghni for Inzaghi, thank goodness Rubinho gifted us a goal. Zarate was very active in the second half and was our most creative player. The defence was decent, IMO, Genoa has scored a lot this season and Milito is one heck of a player. Their goal was somewhat lucky and I think we had more chances, not to mention Lichtsteiner and Kolarov attacked a lot. We really need better set piece taking, we wasted so many free kicks in good position, Genoa fouled and fouled and fouled us without any restraint whatsoever. Can't we cross to Rozenhal or Cribari some time and actually find them in the box? Siviglia is a very good at scoring headers after set pieces...he never even gets the chance to hit a header in attack these days.
I think Foggia, Rocchi, Zarate is proving to be much better than Zarate, Pandev, Rocchi, or Zarate, Foggia, Pandev mostly because Pandev is really out of form. Yes, he probably would have preferred to play closer to the box but he can't even keep the ball these days, I hope it's mostly fatigue. Plus, Zarate and Foggia can play on the wing, Pandev doesn't seem to be willing or able to do it.
The midfield again was not that convincing but I believe that if he is given the chance Meghni can improve a lot...and even in this form he is better than Mauri, he was close to scoring and also gave a great pass to Foggia who missed one on one with the keeper early in the second half.
Most importantly we need to play well in both halves of the game, it's pathetic how few goals we have scored in first halves, not to mention how few chances we tend to create. If we manage to score early, matches will become so much more winnable.
