Vadocz Leaves NEC For Osasuna
Beleaguered NEC have lost another important player. The Nijmegen side surprisingly qualified for the UEFA cup last season, but have been stripped of their most valued players since then. Brett Holman and Jeremain Lens moved to AZ and, to rub salt into their wounds, Krisztian Vadocz will now sign for Osasuna.
NEC have declared on their official website that they’re unhappy to see the Hungarian go, but that they can’t hold onto him because of the limited clauses in his contract.
Osasuna will reportedly pay €950,000 euros for the physical midfielder, who was also linked to Dutch giants Feyenoord this summer.
Vadocz signed for NEC on a free transfer last season. However, the 23-year-old Hungarian international insisted upon his arrival that he saw NEC as a stepping stone on the road towards signing for a bigger club.
He started his career at Budapesti Honved in 2002 and also played for French side Auxerre and Scottish outfit Motherwell, before ending up at NEC in 2007. Vadocz scored two goals in 27 appearances for the Eredivisie side.
