Anyone know what the weather will be? Rain would be nice

During the Poland game the English announcer stated that the ball picked up speed on the grass, which didn't make sense to me. Player reactions in a story I read stated the opposite. They said the rain slowed the ball down, which was good for us. It also slowed the players down, double good for us.
