Anyone from here going to this? What sort of prices are paid to get there from Bulgaria?

Anybody got any inside info/news on whether it will go ahead or not?

Not sure if BG participates in it at all, dude
That's what the rumours say. Indeed maybe even the Bulgarian FA website will say it. I doubt I'd understand it but you might. I'm sure my fellow fans would be interested to know (as I would). Do you live in Japan? Why the Japanese flag?

Now on the Japanese FA site. Anybody going over or will it just be Kotooshu (Bulgarias very own Sumo rikishi (pretty damn good he is too)). Hope your football team aren't as good as he is.

No fear, JGoG :), to me our NT is a joke compared to that big big man Kotooshu. I expect him to become a big champion in the next years to come.

I think he's already a champion. Ozeki class. Only one step away from Yokozuna. Could be the new Chiyonofuji. Could have made a good centre half too. How much for flights from Bulgaria to Tokyo return?

I think our team is good we only lack a coach who makes good tactical decisions and a defence.

Which players should we look out for (other than Petrov)?
Perhaps the other Petrov?:p

nah, I dont live in Japan m8! I was just browsing those forums at uni with a friend of mine who was from Japan and remembered that I need a new avatar so I thought of the Japanese flag. On a more serious note though, Japan is indeed the greatest country in Asia!

Not long now. Anyone else feel the tension building? Anybody from here going?

Apparently Petrov (Celtic) wont be going. Any thoughts?

Well there has been some problems with the Stars of our NT going since they are needed in their clubs.

lol it always feels weird seeing them as "stars" but on a more serious note, they may not be that needed anyway. I mean that the competition on that cup wont be severe while at the same time, a major injury for a player can happen in any game/training so one happening during that period would be harsh for both the NT and the particular club.

Well the selection now is loaded with the "stars" of the "Euro-heroes" from Levski.

With all my respect to the Japanese organizers and their football, this tournament is an awful waste of time for our NT. Europe is full of (non-European) WC participants playing friendlies, preparing and aclimatizing, and in the same time we fly to the other end of the world to play 2 games with a makeshift squad?!?

I wonder if this should be taken as a promotional tour of the Bulgarian/Levski's football brand and players in Japan, or simply as plain stupidity.

That's me off to the match. Hope to see you all out there. Kirin brewery was founded by a Scotsman so it would be fitting for us to win the tournament whilst getting stuck in to the Japanese pivo.

Remember Scotland for World Cup 2006!

we Won 2-1 against Japan. Quiet amazing if you ask me - waitibg for John report.

Svetlio Todorov (Pompey) scored in teh 6th min. They equalized in teh 79, we scored the winning goal in 89 - Yanev (CSKA) a min after he came for as a sub to martin petrov (still Atl M).

not bad ...

I wasnt thinking of following that game but then I noticed that Stoyan Kolev and Georgi Iliev are gonna be playing. It seemed like a decent match. Gotta give credit to the Japanese public! Gathering 45000+ people for a game like that is something that most countries here in Europe wouldnt be able to do. Shame that their team isnt up to similar standarts.
