Fadiga was diagnosed with a heart problem during summer medical tests and Inter officials stated they would take no risk with the player after Marc-Vivien Foé's death.

Was his contract purely and simply cancelled?

Saints can¡¦t call Fadiga

Southampton chairman Rupert Lowe has confirmed Inter winger Khalilou Fadiga will not be signing for them. ¡§It is disappointing because he is a quality player and we would have been interested in taking him on loan,¡¨ he said. ¡§But unfortunately there were too many complications to make the deal worthwhile.¡¨

There are several different versions as to what is happening with Fadiga.

The first is that he requires a full year to recover and that he will not be seen until next season but that he is still an Inter player.
(I dont believe this version).

The second version is that after consulting a specialist in France, he was diagnosed as being fit to play but the tests required by Inter's medical staff were more stingent and that as a result, his contract was rescinded and he returned to France (this version I believe).

I am not sure if he has reyurned to France to play football or whether he is living there but not playing. Either way, we will not see him in an Inter shirt.

He is still an Inter player, but he won't be back until next year because he is currently sorting out an irregular heartbeat in France.

You consider Inter to be a class team? A supposed great club who cant make it to knockout stage of the champions league, to the the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup and who are over 20 points behind legaue leaders Milan?

Inter a class team...?

Nice change of attitude Pulsar. It was rather predictable. I guess we will have to endure many more of your girly hissy fits until the day Inter actually wins something.

But welcome back anyway...

You don't have to welcome me. I don't want to be welcomed. You have disappointed me with these personal attacks. I attack INter for their play and you come and attack me. Well all i have to say is that I'll be the more mature and high man, b/c I will not respond with insults in kind.

well, debatable.

Inter WAS a class team and it still CAN be a class team.
Right now, and for a long time, we've been trying to rediscover that respect. We had a glimps of it when cuper took over and lead us to CL where parts of the world actually REMEMBER inter milan and it's faded glory. Other than that, we are famous for transfer blunders, and poor club (business) handling grace.

We are a 'rich' club and a big club, but that certainly does not equal in class. I qouted 'rich' because we don't really know how much we have left in our bank (and i rekon NOT THAT much) and we've been buying players left and right. Notice however, the players we buy are often the 2nd or 3rd choice. This is definately NOT evidence of class.

Inter a class team, at this point? Hardly. It will actually take a lot to restore that reputation and even that, it will take several seasons to build that status.

Rough patches people, Inter are class(I may like them slightly more than I pt on ) don't doubt your team. You've got young players who can develop at your club. Plus it was only last season that they were second in the league and semi finalists of CL.Next Season you'll have a new manager probably one of the strongest contenders of lo Scudetto forgetting about this season.
It's not just a tough time for Inter it's a tough time for Italy (In europe).
