Kind of similar to Ryo who had never played professional level football prior to joining Feyenoord, Nagasawa had only made one substitute appearance for Yokohama F-Marinos in the J-League Cup - no appearances in the J-League itself - before transferring to Cologne and he's locked down a starting birth with a host of impressive displays. Granted it's the 2. Bundesliga but to transition so smoothly from the college system to a European league in this way is encouraging and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do in the top flight. Another attack minded midfielder in the vein of Kagawa.

edit: if you type Kazuki Nagasawa into youtube you'll find a bunch of videos submitted by a guy called "Jeffy2U" :D
