Juventus wants Arsenal's French international midfielder Patrick Vieira and is willing to pay 14 million pounds ($20 million) for the 23-year-old.

Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi plans to contact Arsenal in the next week, though it added that any negotiations were likely to be delayed until after Euro 2000.

Juventus offered 7 million pounds ($10.9 million), plus Nigerian midfielder Sunday Oliseh, who is rated at 8 million pounds, for Arsenal's France midfielder Patrick Vieira.

Juve tried to sign the 23-year-old Vieira when it sold Thierry Henry to Arsenal in August, and contacted the London club's vice chairman David Dein to make its offer. Arsenal signed Vieira for 3.5 million pounds from AC Milan in August 1996.
