Juventus want Bologna coach Francesco Guidolin for next season with Marcello Lippi moving to the Italian national side.

Current Italy coach Giovanni Trapattoni is unlikely to lead Italy after the World Cup finals leaving Lippi as the first choice to take charge of the Euro 2004 qualifying campaign for the Italians.

Juventus are not going to stand in the way of Lipi's departure and are ready for a new coach just one year after his return to he club where he won four championships in the 1990's.

Bologna are making an appraoch for Franco Cosmi to be their chosen replacement for Guidolin who despite dismissing a link to Juventus earlier this week as "a joke" heads the list of candidates to be coach at the Turin club and would take an offer to move to Juve even if Bologna clinch a Champions League place this season.

While Guidolin is a solid, effective coach, expect series of some serious yawns if he takes over...

Great choice nontheless, though Franco Colomba of Reggina (also among the candidates) would make a better coach for you, simply because in my opinion he would fit extremelly well with the "Juventus philosophy". What a great coach he is and how underrated...
