Juventus have backed out of plans to sign Verona striker Adrian Mutu leaving Parma AC as his next possible destination.
Parma are bidding again for the Romanian striker whose move to Juve was agreed in principle months ago.
But the Italian champions have turned down the transfer which is now beyond their budget.
The Turin club expect to sign Parma defender Fabio Cannavaro after the World Cup finals and are looking to off load midfielder Edgar Davids to part-fund new transfer dealings.
The Mutu deal is now off the agenda with Verona wanting £12 million for the former Inter player.
05/24/2002. Juventus have apparently ended their interest in Verona forward Adrian Mutu.
The 15 million euro price-tag for the player is thought to have put the Old Lady off.
The Romanian's future now looks unclear. Parma were reportedly interested in signing him but their interest may have dwindled after the arrival of Adriano.
On Monday his agent admitted that a Spanish club were in talks to sign him, so it now looks as though his future may lie away from Serie A.
