Buffon; Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Barzagli, Grosso; Gattuso, Pirlo, De Rossi; Camoranesi, Toni, Di Natale

The only one I'm the least unsure of is Gattuso.

No f***ing way Matrix should start against those speedy Dutch.

I'm a fan of Donadoni too, but WHAT IS GOING ONN!!!???

Panucci AND Matrix. :yuck::yuck::yuck: Are we playing an OLDBOYS Dutch team or are we playing Van Persie, Van der Vaart, etc....?

... and an all Milan midfield (Sacchi '94, anyone?): Well I can accept that at least, but still.... De Rossi should've been there.

Barzagli was a headless chicken, but he's ok with a decent partner - Matrix is just amateurish. Out sprintet, and that pass that cost Zambro a yellow :wallbang:... a kindergarten boy could've made that pass.

Zambro-Barzagli-Chiellini-Grosso!

Too much of a risk starting with Gamberini now, imo.

Not hard, but I agree. Him and Zambrotta had decent games. When there was space out wide it was usually because he was off covering for the awful, awful centre backs.

Problem was midfield based, noone capable of running with the ball, that Milan midfield is fine when you have Kaka to do the running past people, but when he isn't there they're very one paced and easy to predict, Pirlo aside.
What was Panucci doing on the second goal. There was loads of space to make that diagonal pass. He just doesn't have it in him anymore, moving up-and-down-the-flanks.

De Rossi. Aquilani, Del Piero, Grosso and Cassano for the starting XI. Out with Materazzi, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Di Natale and Camoranesi.

Di Natale wasn't all bad but both Del Piero and Cassano offers more IMO.
Del Piero wasn't a threat to goal at all. Got a few free kicks at most.

Di Natale threatened - on at least two occasion.
