Jozic set to leave Croatia post Monday 27 May, 2002

Croatia boss Mirko Jozic will quit the job after the 2002 World Cup Finals.

The Coach, who will look to outwit Italy in the group phase, will not renew his contract which expires in August.

Reports suggest that the tactician will look to stay in football but return to the youth sector in which he has had notable success in the past.

Jozic Coached the Yugoslavia youth side in 1987 and had players such as former Milan star Zvonimir Boban and Robert Prosinecki in his side.

It has also been suggested that Jozic may return to club football in Chile.

He led Colo Colo to the Coppa Libertadores ¡V South America¡¦s Champions¡¦ League ¡V in 1991. He also had a brief spell in charge of the Chilean national side.

Croatia will face Italy on June 8.
