Jornanda 13: Real Madrid vs. Levante Unión Deportiva

-----V-----

ok, so our past two games haven't been great, but now is the time for a comeback. :frustrat:
If we can't win this game, then our chances of la liga will be almost over.

We should win this game, any other result and we'll be in serious trouble.......

3 points are a must. Levante are doing great this season, really surprising everybody. But Real Madrid need to stay close with Barcelona so I can't see a slip up here.

2-0.

Do not underestimate Levante.

Fantastic club, with a _TON_ of heart and hard-work.

I'd be more than happy if we can scrape out a 1-0 win.

Real Madrid won't be scrapping a win, for heavens sake.

How low have we become to be asking to "srap a win against Levante"?#

I agree with you that they will not be easy, but we won't be scrapping for the win either.

I would like to see Morientes start this game.

Not low.

Evidently, you have no idea how close and competitive La Liga is. Levante is a very, very good team.

Be realistic, we _WILL NOT_ win by three or more goals.

Did I say we would win by 3 or 4 goals? I said it would be 2-0.

And I know how competitive la liga is. It's just that I don't see how Real Madrid would struggle to beat Levante at home, that's all.

The exact same way we struggled and clawed to beat Getafe at home, whom is a far, far inferior club to Levante.

But we still won 2-0, didn't we?

I don't want to start an arguement over nothing, especially with you since we seem to agree on almost everything.

I really thing it is about time we started to beat teams convincingly. We should play like we played against Albacete EVERY week.

We have to try to close the gap at the top of the table before the Winter break.

i made a promise to myself, not to waste my time on trying to figure out the best players/formation.
perez and Co. will not change anything.
anyone here thinks that beckham and zidan won't start the next game?
mods, how about we make a poll to see what people think, the poll should have 2 questions:
1. do you think they should play?
2. do you think they will play (from the start)?

1. No. Solari should play in place of Zidane, and Celades should play in place of Beckham.

--------------Celades------------------Guti-------------------
------Figo--------------------------------------Solari---------
----------------------------Raul-------------------------------
--------------------------Ronaldo-----------------------------

2. Of course they'll play.

IMHO this formation is the best solution to our problems right now.
i would even rotate raul/ronaldo with owen. the guy looks to be in great shape once he actualy get some pass from our midfield.

To hell with Owen.

nearly forgot about moro...
the impact he had yesterday was huge.
Exactly.

Now, after watching Moro's performance yesterday, and nearly scoring the winner, he looked a MILLION times more involved in the offense than Owen ever has. I know Owen puts the goals in, but I truly believe that if given the same playing time, Moro would be scoring those same goals and also doing a HELL of alot more.

Barcelona will drop points somewhere down the line and when they do, we have to make sure we are there to take advantage.

We can't afford to drop points here.

A convincing home win... maybe 2-0.

I say we start Morientes instead of Ronaldo.

I believe it would work in our favor, after El Moro getting minutes vs. Leverkusen.

Maybe try Owen, Moro, and Raul on the left and Zizou in CM with Guti.

Though Levante are high in the table, I don't expect this to be close.

3-0 Madrid.

Raul, Figo (pen.), Morientes

Take care with Levante, they have shown to be a dangerous team. Their 3 forwards are quite good, Manchev scores easily, Sergio García grows match by match and he'll be overmotivated and Ettien is a fast skillful win, a really good player. Besides, they have a great DM, Rivera, ex-madridista.

Madrid should win, but if they play walking as they did against Bayer, you may suffer a lot. Levante is much more stronger than Numancia or Getafe, they won't forgive their chances.
