It's back! Now we "all" can talk J-League, Nabisco Cup, Emperor's Cup, and Japan National Team like in the good old days...

*tumbleweed rolls by*

So anyway, last night, Tunisia 0-1 Japan, sealed by a Yanagisawa goal. A useful experience for the players, but by all accounts a dull game. Roll on Saturday's clash with Romania. :thumb:

Well Japan's weakpoints are scoring goals and conceding goals, so probably it'll be an exciting game. I heard it is a pretty strong Romania side, so I expect them to beat Japan. Of course I want Japan to win, but more than anything I want to see action. :)

Hi Rino,

I have been interested in Japanese football for sometime but I hope to find the time to watch it. Furthermore Parma has Nakata and I also like Nakamura and Ono. Definately a country to watch out for.

A Japanese team might be playing for our Singapore-League soon! So the ties are building up. However I am not so sure I can watch so much football

May I ask if you are a Japanese? :D

Great Rino is back, hopefully you, along with nasty nick, ToniSamp and co will have another smashing discussion on Jap football :)

Like MINDSCAPE said, there's minimal coverage of Jap football here in SE Asia (but I think quite recently they showed J-League matches every Saturday afternoon on cable tv? Do you remember, MINDSCAPE?) so as always we'll do more of reading rather than posting

On a sidenote, for F1 Takuma Sato's timing is perfect - he'll be competing in Suzuka on Sunday

Is Marques, from Nagoya Grampus, doing good? What about Jussie, Marcelo Ramos, Ramon?
Marques is ok, but nothing special. He has the skills to succeed, but maybe not the rest. Ramon didn't impress me much at the start of the season, but he's really adapted now, he's an important player for Verdy. Jussie? I don't know who that is. Marcelo? If I remember correctly, he's scoring a lot of goals in J2 for Sanfrecce. 11 goals.

:dazed: Anyone see Iwamoto's goal for Vegalta v JEF? Roberto Carlos would be proud of it - a direct free kick from 35/40 yards or so. Straight into the top of the net!

In other good news, Verdy and Gamba both won. :)

Rino, is there a way to watch the goals of J-league? Once it was possible on J-ole but then everything changed and it was no more possible because of shitty laws and rules. :groan:

About Teruo Iwamoto: I already saw some good shots from him. I remember a FK in the match Vegalta-Verdy, first match of Vegalta in the J-1.

And of course, forza Verdy!  :nasty: :yuck: :mute: :stoned:
I have soft spot for them... ;)
