I was just going over the fixtures when i realised that January is going to be one heck of hard month for us. We will play a total of 8 matches (4 of them in the league)

01/01/05 - Middlesbrough (A)

04/01/05 - Tottenham (H)

08/01/05 - Exeter City (H) - [FA Cup]

12/01/05 - Chelsea (A) - [Carling Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg]

15/01/05 - Liverpool (A)

22/01/05 - Aston Villa (H)

26/01/05 - Chelsea (H) - [Carling Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg]

29/01/05 - FA Cup 4th Round (thats of course if we make it)

Out of the 4 games that we will play in the league i am hoping for atleast 8 points (out of a possible 12) as we will have two very hard games in Liverpool and Boro away from home where draws are very likely. I, unfortunatly, think that the absense of Ruud will definatly take its toll on us in these games. Hopefully Giggs and Scholesy continue on with their free scroing form through out these rough times.

Im expcecting a win over Exeter City in the FA Cup, while the two legs against Chelsea in this crappy cup are of no concern to me.

P.S.- We play Arsenal on the 1st of February at Highbury.

What are your thoughts?

I agree with all of those except, I think that Man Utd will beat Liverpool. Liverpool have just been too inconsistent this season and Man Utd just have a better team.

Oh dear! I just dreamt that United lost to Middlesbrough 3-1. And being the psychic I am , I am afraid it is going to come true. :(

probably some good results here and there, but whats the point when at end of the year you win jack sht?

no point at all. so dont bother with these threads. just start up the, "omfg wat went wrong with manu this season," "sir alex should retire," "rooney and rvn should be sold" type of threads. if you do that now, then at the end of the season you would have time to stick it at the arsenal forum and give us some praise for winning the treble.

you know you wanna ;)

I dont know what gives these people the reason to believe that our season is over.

I know right now it looks almost impossible for us to win the league or the Champions league, but we are not totally out of any of the competitions.

I personally dont think we can catch up with Chelsea, but catching up with Arsenal looks like a decent bet to me. As for the Champions League, anything can happen. Whoever thought Porto would go onto win it last season?

Right now we are one of the most form teams in the EPL. The fact that SM thinks we will lose to Middlesborough, draw against Tottenham and definately lose to Liverpool is absurd. Ok I agree that we might lose to boro, but to Liverpool? Come on ;).

Why you can't win every game ya know + the fact that Liverpool and Middlesborough are better teams so a home win for them two is obvious decisions, and I think Spurs will sneak a draw. :shades:

Thanks,
