Zbog Veleža i Mostara.

E dzaba progovoram vec 3 godine ovdje komsija.

A posto smo vratili Zrinjskog, sam nosite ime bivseg Mostarskog prvoligasa, a veze nemate s njim.

Sorry for off topic but...

What really happend with Velez when the war broke out and why did most of the BiH Croats decide to revive and support Zrinjski, I can understand that people were thinking in a different way during war but for me it seems that he BiH Croats just "gave" Velez to the Bosniak supporters?

Please try to be neutral so we can avoid flaming

@Ero: whatever man you are entitled to your own opinions about Velez just like Im entitled to my own about Zrinjski being a nationalistic club that was "shut down" for what 50yrs or something like that and have just recently celebrated a bogus 100 yr existance, but hey these are just opinions.NO SIKIRIKI

this is a discussion about Velez's promotion and not an opportunity to dump on them

The article started by dumping on us, based on false information, and I know you all know me as the quiet one... ;)

What happened was that Velez was dismantled in 1992 because it was a communist club all of whose members HAD to be in the partija in order to have a function. Players also.

When the aggression on BiH started, the HVO defended Mostar in the Lipanjske Zore successfully and by 1993 and Velez, as a symbol of the aggressor, was not reinstated, nobody had football on their mind understandably.

Zrinjski was soon reinstated as Mostar's oldest club, one without communist political affiliations formed in 1905 when the prefix HNK, or HSK was common place in 80% Croatian Mostar.

Soon after the Croatian-Muslim conflict, the idea to reinstate Velez in the eastern part of the city was born, and materialised soon after because muslims no longer identified themselves with Zrinjski.

We don't consider that club the same one as pre-1992.

That is our opinion, and the aforementioned are facts.

Welll to you Velez might have been the symbol of aggression just like Zrinjski was/is the symbol of aggression to me, they have that sahovnica on their emblem, the same one that HVO soldiers were wearing when they kicked me and my family and other muslim and serb families throughout Mostar, and that is a fact
