You know all the elements which make the season bad:
1- Juventus exaggeratedly better than the opponents (but far from being the best Juventus ever in spite of CR7 )
2- Napoli pretty much have given up the challenge a few weeks ago
3- the worst Roma team of the past 20 maybe 30 seasons
4- Inter and Milan struggle to get the CL spot in spite of a very bad Roma
5- Lazio can't profit of the general mediocrity either
6- out of Atalanta no minor club looks able to profit of the general mediocrity

Weren't Roma risking relegation in 04-05, though? Worst Roma in 20-30 years, I dunno..

I think the problem is that Juventus' reserve team is better than Inter's, Napoli's or any other Serie A team's first 11....

Costa---------------Kean------------------Cuadrado

--------------------Dybala----------------------------

--------Khedira----------------Can/Bentacur-------------

Spinazzola---------Barzagli-----Rugani------------De Sciglio

-------------------Perin--------------------------------------

This team would prob finish 2nd or 3rd in Serie A.

Until Inter, Milan and Napoli address that by buying or discovering players of the highest quality, Serie A will basically be as competitive as the Scottish Premier League...

This is quite striking indeed. Take away the current starters, upgrade on de Sciglio and Khedira and it's likely to win Scudetto on its own.

If Roma wasn't a "Selling" club....

El Shaarawy/Perotti - Dzeko - Salah
Pjanic - Nainggolan - Zaniolo
Emerson - Romagnoli/Rudiger - Manolas - Florenzi
Alisson

I'd easily take the Napoli team over the above team. Its just that with signing Ancelotti Napoli killed all chances of competing in the league.

Spal disagree..

Last season Napoli competed well til juve were given a push by the refs against Inter, tbf.

I think Serie A needs Conte or Mourinho at Inter

You forgot a little detail, they only got Zaniolo due to selling Nainggolan. Plus that midfield doesn't have a DM.

Could add Emerson there from a few years back, I rated him highly.

Remove Nainggolan from that

Spal disagree..

Let's just hope Inter disagree.....

And Allegri put out a team with 2 youth players and Cuadrado in central midfield. That is asking for trouble.

Anyway, Juve losing is never a bad thing. Here's to many more before the season's out

Juve are the undisputed kings of the trash heap.
Thanks for officially coming out as the utter trash you are. Both figuratively and litterally in Napoli's case.

I've only watched Roma games this season (and not all of them) and I am downright amazed we have a decent chance to reach Top 4 given how atrocious we have been. Not a good sign for the league quality.
