As usual, I will be supporting Shane Warne's Rajasthan Royals, not that we stand much of a chance, and especially now without Ravindra Jadeja after his indiscretions.

RR for me too because of Shane but apart from him they are not much of a great force this year. They did not bother to add anybody good and I don't like Shilpa Shetty either.

Will be supporting Chennai because of hometown affinity

Did anyone see the opening ceremony?? What was with the guys wearing KKK-style robes with pointy hats?? The first shot I saw was them standing around in a semicircle, and not to mention the Lionel Ritchie was singing there too... Seriously, don't these guys ever stop and think?

Royals lost again :(

Can't say it wasn't expected. Our best bet is to pick up points against Punjab and Bangalore and hope to nick a couple more wins from somewhere.

Bangalore are a really good team.

My side, the Super Kings, have got off to a steady, unspectacular start.

Jefe, I'm sorry to say but the Royals are useless this year. 92 in 20 overs. :D

Superkings lost Dhoni so it would be interesting to see how they perform without him and with Raina as captain.

RR would be fortunate to win even a single match. They look like amateurs out there.

Kamran Akmal and Sohail Tanveer in the first edition were the real difference for Rajasthan. Last year they were out of their depth without those two, but KKR's problems sort of glossed over it, and this year, all the other teams seemed to have plugged whatever little holes they had, the Royals however are just a mediocre side really, with only a few class performers and they can't really afford to lose any of them (Smith).

The Mongoose came out to play today, and Matty Hayden was absolutely brutal. 93 of 43 balls! Wonder what that bat would do in Yusuf Pathan's hands :D

The handle is 33% longer and the blade is 44% shorter, or something along those lines. Basically, the handle is longer than the blade. It looks like one of those toy bats you used to see on the streets here that little kids would pester their parents to buy. It's supposed to eliminate the unnecessary portion of the bat, leaving you with just the sweet spot.

Saw that..looks just like a toy bat.

RR finally managed to win today. Pretty decent performance from the entire team.
