same thing with Croatia but what is the point when 80% of the teams in the competion don't care. I mean the best team in Intertoto Cup history is a Croatian club...that must tell you something.

Well if Croatia deserve two teams cuz of Slaven belupo then Macedonia deserve that too since Pobeda almost have the same reccord in intertoto as Slaven, Pobeda have one Semifinal and one 3 round, Also Pelister have a 3 round and lost to celta vigo and also last year vardar did make the 3 round but lost to shealke. if you look at results macedonia deserve two teams but on the other hand who cares about intertoto and one team is enough..

oh! i think the maco team have a great chance against the serbian since only red star and partizan are good but then again who care....

Anyone know what place is the 2nd Intertoto Cup team from Serbia & Montenegro? I mean like what place do they have to be on the SCG Prva Liga table to be an Intertoto Cup 2nd team?

how is Pobeda better than Slaven when they are the best team in the competitions history?? as far as I know Pobeda are not even top 5, its Slaven Belupo, Werder Bremen and some French club.

And Croatia have two teams in Intertoto because we are a better ranked league than yours.

I don't want to get to far ahead, but if our team wins in the 1st round they will play someone from Germany in the 2nd round :smileani:

It's probably going to be OFK Belgrade. We have 3 teams in the UEFA Cup, #'s 2 + 3 plus the cupwinner, at least it was that way last season.

Najuspješniji klubovi UEFA Intertoto kupa:
1. Slaven Belupo (Hrv) 28 utakmica / 46 bodova
2. Werder (Njem) 22 / 46
3. Villarreal (Špa) 22 / 43
4. Basel (Švi) 22 / 41
5. Stuttgart (Njem) 20 / 41

WoW i would have never guessed that Slaven Belupo is the best team in Intertoto Cup play i guess this does say something about the tournament.. :dazed:

Well if thats the case then OFK Belgrade is gonna be the 1st Intertoto Cup team and Zemun or Buducnost will be the 2nd team, cause they are in 5th place as of right now, but Kula and Novi Beograd are not far behind :D

You're right Ambis, didn't think about the second placed team. But although Buducnost has been very decent so far, I expect them to sell their best players this summer. Zemun is pretty solid, youth mixed with experience, but it's too early too tell.

Vojvodina once got to the finals of the IT Cup, they lost to Werder I believe it was.

UEFA Cup reward for Intertoto glory

The draw was held for the first three rounds of the 2005 UEFA Intertoto Cup in Nyon, Switzerland today.

Widespread interest
In all, 61 teams from across the continent will take part in the summer competition, which offers a trio of places in next season's UEFA Cup as its prize. The action starts with the first round first-leg matches on 18/19 June, with the returns following a week later.

July date
The draw was conducted by Thomas Büchler-De la Cruz, general secretary of the European Football Pool, and Jean Fournet-Fayard, co-opted member of the UEFA Club Competition Committee, in the presence of UEFA Chief Executive Lars-Christer Olsson. The draw for the semi-finals and finals will take place when the number of contenders has been whittled down to 12.

Major incentive
There is great incentive for teams entering the competition as Spanish side Villarreal CF have demonstrated for the past two seasons. Having advanced in 2003, they went on to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup, something they hope to repeat this term having taken the same route.

Well Pobeda have only playd two time in the Intertoto and Slaven presumably 7 or 8 time, I don't know.....

However I was wrong about Pobeda when I look closer, they have two 3 rounds or quarter finals........ Pelister one quarter finals and Vardar one quarter finals.

http://www.uefa.com/Competitions/IntertotoCup/AllTimeStatistics/index.html

It look like Pobeda-OFK for the moment. 50-50 I would say! I have seen OFK onece this year and that was against Red Star some weeks ago. OFK playd well and lose 0-1 with a goal 15 min from the end.
