Could have done with making this thread while Lee Holmes was off having a great tournament with the England under19's, but oh well.

Here is a thread to keep track of how our players are doing on the international scene.

First up Nathan Doyle has been called up to the England Under 20 squad to play Russia in a Freindly on August 16.

Grzegorz Rasiak was yesterday called into the Polish squad for a friendly tournament in Kiev, including Ukraine, Serbia and Israel, while Derby-born duo Matt Richards and Karl Ashton are away in Iceland with England U17.

Karl Ashton scored on his debut in the 3-2 win over Finland, for England under 17's. Looks like there could be plenty more good players coming through our academy :)

Defender Lewin Nyatanga has been called up to the Wales U21 squad for their forthcoming friendly against Malta.

Nyatanga, still only 16, will hope to play a part when Wales take on their Maltese counterparts in the game at Stebonheath Park, Llanelli, on August 16 - two days before he turns 17.

The Burton-born left-back (pictured), a product of the Rams' Academy, has already set a record by becoming the youngest-ever Welsh U21 international.

Rams keeper Lee Camp has been named in Peter Taylor's England under-21 squad to face Denmark in an international friendly next Tuesday.

It's about time Camp started a game, Carson always starts and everytime I've watched him, he's looked crap.

August, before the friendly in Ipswich which you won 3-1...this was played in London and the U21's beat England 3-0 and at the end of the match Pennant punched Kranjcar because Pennant accused him of saying something racist to him (kind of amazing since he can't speak English) :lala:

Saw some of the 2nd half of the England u21's Last night, and Camp was playing, don't know if he played from the start though. He seemed to have an easy night with not much to do, don't recall him having to make a save.

Rasiak wins the game for Poland!

He came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute and scored two goals, including a winner one minnute from the stoppage time. He silenced his critics and assured himself the joker role for the WCQ in September. Poland defeated Israel 3:2 in the final of the Valery Lobanovsky Tournament.

Rasiak scored two late goals for Poland as they win their mini-tournament against Israel 3-2. Three goals in two matches, good job Rasiak and good job Poland, now only beat England. :D

Good stuff from Rasiak, he'll get a hat trick at least if he plays against England.
