There is absolutely no comparison between our match and a 0-3 in the first 20-30 minutes at home, if that is what you are alluding to. Sassuolo actually attacked us, took the lead but were denied by a close VAR call. If they weren't bothered why attempt to score? And they also scored twice in the 2nd half and could have made it 3-3 iirc. They also had a good chance at 0-0 that Samir saved before Lukaku opened the scoring. All of those things indicate they tried to get a result.
While the og that originated from a Bellanova cross was a mistake from Tressoldi but even Maldini, Nesta and Facchetti scored ogs (and in recent times De Vrij and Skriniar), on the other hand the 2nd resulting from a deflected Lautaro shot was not a mistake but a pure, freak unlucky accident that the defender can not really be blamed for. Ball just came off him while he was standing and took a weird deflection to go up and land in Consigli's net.
Anyhow the difference in Sassuolo's motivation in both cases is evident. Sassuolo with an even weaker team this season compared to last (no Scamacca and no Raspadori) did not lose to Milan this season ftr in both games. One of the games they absolutely destroyed Milan, too. So when they do bother, it is a different matter.

Looking at the goal again, I think was Lukaku was waiting for Correa to make the run and when Correa did he distracted the defender a bit, then Lukaku decided to go for goal
Basically Correa went 1 way, Lukaku went another. Ignoring Correa led to scoring but in the same time that run played a part in confusing the Sassuolo defence
