Pedro Munitis is the latest name to appear on Inter Milan’s shopping list with the news that club officials are to meet the winger’s agent over the next days to discuss a move. Having just signed one Spanish player, Valencia’s Francisco Javier Farinós, the website “Marca” reported that Inter have now turned their attention to Racing Santander’s international, who is ready to leave his local club with whom he has spent all his career.

Despite boasting a dressing room which is packed to the rafters with forward talent including Ronaldo, Christian Vieri, Iván Zamorano, Alvaro Recoba and now the Turk Hakan Sukur, Inter coach Marcello Lippi has reportedly been keen on the 25-year-old for a while now.

If the reports are confirmed, Inter will have to do battle with Real Madrid and Deportivo Coruña who have also been linked with the diminutive Munitis, who stands 1.70m tall.

The winger is believed to favour a move to the European champions who have a long tradition of signing players hailing from his northern Cantabria region, including two of the club’s all-time greats, winger Paco Gento and striker Carlos Santillana.

Munitis did his chances of securing a lucrative transfer no harm at Euro 2000, hitting home a viciously curling shot against Yugoslavia and then giving French full back Lilian Thuram a torrid time, especially in the first half of the Euro 2000 quarter final last Sunday.
Munitis was good at euro2000 , how good would he be at Inter ?

Inter don´t need him. He´s very good but there is no place for him. He can either play as an offensive left midfielder or as an attacker.
Inter doesn´t play with an offensive left midfielder ,they play with an defensive one(Geo). Inter have already many forwards and he won´t even be on the bench.

Yeah,he is good!I've never seen a player giving hard times to LILLIAN THURAM!!!He made Thuram so embarrasing to mark him!!!But once again,we don't need him!He doesn't fit in the team tactics, what we need is a wingback!besides,I'd rather have Brocchi, which we are negotiating with him now!

Forza Inter!!
