Watched Colombia v Uruguay in Copa America, Colombia won after a penalty shootout. Vecino played 90 minutes but I barely noticed him. With Chile losing to Brazil last night, Lautaro is our only remaining representative in the Copa. Argentina will play against Ecuador in 40 minutes time.

Hoping for an Italy v Denmark Euros final, that way whoever wins it would be nice.

Argentina 3-0 Ecuador

Lautaro scored the second, good finish after a Messi assist. Though tbf I think the goal should have been disallowed for a Di Maria foul..

Now Argentina will face Colombia in the semifinal, with tournamemt hosts and title holders Brazil taking on Peru in the other semi.

Based on what I saw tonight, Argentina will not win the Copa but I hope I am wrong for the sake of JZ, Cuchu, Milito and Samuel. The latter btw is part of the technical staff.

Argentina will need to defend better against Zapata and Muriel or they will go home. Ecuador caused the Albiceleste problems.

Super happy for them.

Only sad that Oriali isn't staying. 😢

Incredible how the Samuel-Ayala partnership didn't win Copa, anyhow happy for Il Muro.

Hopefully no injuries more importantly

We may see Satriano in the Samp match

Just great...

Dzeko-Sensi attack like the Genoa game then. Anyhow Vidal and Vecino are bench players but no Lautaro and no Correa, especially with Sanchez still recovering...big losses.
Annoying

But TBH I thought our play was far better with Sensi behind Dzeko, even if we're dealing with a tiny sample size (2 games). I'm not saying we should go with that every game, but it may actually prove to be the formation that gives us the most fluid football.

Would also like to see Satriano get some game time.

The Genoa game was effectively finished in the first 15 minutes (or less), thanks to a corner kick and a shot, and Genoa are weaker than Verona so yeah can't judge/compare. In recent seasons we have scored a lot against Genoa anyhow.

---

Chances of dropping points against Samp are quite high. I won't be angry if we draw tbh...

For sure Inzaghi will rotate

Darmian and Dimarco being the starting wbs against Samp is a no brainer, with Frog taking the place of De Vrij and possibly DD playing instead of Skriniar. Bastoni will hopefully not play much if at all with Italy as Chiellini and Bonucci are there so he should start at Samp barring an injury.

Can't really do much in midfield and attack as they are basically all internationals (except Satriano)

Gagliardini is injured, he probably would have started this if he was ready.

Hopefully Dzeko only plays the WCQs not the friendly in between...

Scoring against France is certainly good for Dzeko’s morale. Good goal too. Decent shot.

Probable line-ups

Italy (4-3-3):
Donnarumma; Di Lorenzo, Acerbi, Bonucci, Emerson; Barella, Jorginho, Verratti; Chiesa, Immobile, Insigne

---

Bastoni and Sensi benched, good.
