Representatives of Internazionale are to fly to Holland in an attempt to clinch the signature of Turkish striker Hakan Sukur.

They will travel to Delden, current camp of the Turkish Euro 2000 squad, to talk with the 29-year-old, who has experience of Italian football when he played five games for Torino in 1995.

But now, after a marvellous season with Galatasaray when he helped steer them to Uefa Cup glory, the Turkish forward is ready for a new opportunity.

Inter would like Sukur as an alternative to their injury prone forward line of Chistian Vieri and Ronaldo.

But the San Siro club are also looking to South America, and in next days will make an offer to Velez Sarsfeld for Sebastian Lopez, a 23-year-old promising Argentine defender
