New Inter President Giacinto Facchetti claims that the Italian press is the main cause of their continuing failure.

“This club does not have the same protection from the press as Milan and Juventus,” the Nerazzurri chief told French newspaper ‘Le Monde’.

“It is a constant weight on the players and Coach that is more than they can bear,” he added.

“At Inter if there is a small cloud on the horizon then the mass media will immediately transform it into a hurricane. The players feel this pressure and can no longer perform at the highest level.”

The former star even picked out Manchester United man Mikael Silvestre as an example of this curse.

“Silvestre has been a regular first choice defender for Man U over the last few years, yet when he was at Inter he was booed and jeered throughout every match.”

Facchetti was speaking out on the reasons behind Inter’s continuing problems in the wake of their 3-2 derby defeat.

Already the press is filled with stories of new players to be signed and the imminent departure of Coach Alberto Zaccheroni.

“Zaccheroni must be left to work in peace,” insisted Facchetti. “Come June we will look at what he has achieved.”

It isn’t the most reassuring statement from the Nerazzurri President, who is hoping to bring this club its first Scudetto since 1989.

“What we need now is some peace and quiet,” added Cristiano Zanetti in today’s press conference.

“At the end of the season we will all sit down and look at what we have achieved, then decide how to act accordingly. But until June it doesn’t help anyone to discuss new players or managers.”

It's a fact that Berlu owns the Italian media..you can choose to live with it or just simply ignore it, Ok ?

And to answer the question that you'll possibly ask, "why doesn't the media attack Juve then" ?

Because if they attack Juve they would barely sell anything.

Nerazzurri4life, you know deep down why Inter is attacked, it's the same reason for whitch Interisti attack their own team. Look at you avatar. Should you have a couple of words with Inter's Board, what would you say. The day Inter will win:D no more attacks. Hope that day is long to come;)

So there's a very simple way to improve Inter's performance drastically -just forbid them to read any Italian newspapers! This way they will surely win the league next season by at least 10 points margin.
