Couldn't find the old one.. so here we go again :)

Reds duo close to return

Liverpool pair Milan Baros and Jamie Carragher - who broke legs on the same day in September - have both set comeback targets.
Baros and Carragher are hoping to be back in the first-team in early 2004.

Czech striker Baros finally started kicking a ball again this week and full-back Carragher has been in full training for a couple of weeks.

The return of the pair will be a major boost for boss Gerard Houllier, who has Michael Owen close to a comeback.

Meanwhile Stephane Henchoz made his first appearance for six weeks in last weekend's draw at Manchester City.

Houllier hopes January is the month when all his injured stars return, include skipper Steven Gerrard, who misses Sunday's FA Cup trip to Yeovil and probably Wednesday's league game at Chelsea with a groin problem.

Houllier has cited Liverpool's injury nightmare as the main reason for their erratic form this season.

Bad news for Kirky.. and us..

From BBC:

Kirkland injury woe continues

Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland faces a further two months out of action with a fractured finger.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury in the Boxing Day win over Bolton, and Reds boss Gerard Houllier has revealed it is more serious than first thought.

"We thought it was a clear fracture at first but the fracture extends down through the joint," said Houllier.

"Chris needed an operation and he could be out for up to two months, longer than we'd anticipated."

The England Under-21 keeper has endured a stop-start career at Anfield since his £6m move from Coventry in August 2001.

Kirkland took over from Jerzy Dudek as club number one last season but suffered serious knee ligament damage in the FA Cup in January and missed the rest of the campaign.

He also spent six weeks out of action earlier this season with a groin injury and has played just seven games this term.

I really do feel sorry for Kirkland.. He's been haunted by injuries.. and they always seem to come when he's playing well.. Don't want to get into the should he be starting anyway debate.. just want to wish him all the best.. and hope he gets well soon..
