Worse case scenario sees us playing Bayer without Keane, Beckham and Johnson. Who would be in our starting XI for that game?
Yep in my opinion Veron was fantastic against depor, one of the few games i have been impressed with him. Some say it's because he doesnt need to compete with Keane, now that he's out and thats why he played more confidently, who knowsAfter Veron's performance against Depor I reckon he should stay in the centre with scholes on the right.
That's true Shaf, haven't thought of that really.K-2 said:When we play Bayer at the BayArena Ole cannot be used on that right flank. He was found out pretty easily by Romero for Depor's first goal and Leverkusen have two decent players in Placente and Ze roberto down that flank. So one has to do a lot of covering work on that flank and thats why Scholes will be given the job of keeping tabs on Placente.
At home,if we have a lead from germany then Fergie will opt for 4-4-1-1 but if the scores are tied or if we are trailing then the Scotsman will go for all out attack with 4-4-2,putting Ole alongside Ruud up front.
If we play the first leg at Old Trafford then what formation do you guys think Fergie should put out?The 4-4-1-1 or the more attacking 4-4-2(more attacking simply because Ole comes into play with this formation and the form he is in at the moment he's bound to get us a goal.)I suggest going for the 4-4-2 system at home as we have to take a couple of goals lead at the BayArena.Liverpool found out that one goal lead wasnt enough for them and with our defence, its vital that we score a couple at least. The 4-4-2 would sth like this...........We play the first leg first though...
I agree that this formation has really clicked recently and in all likelyhood Fergie will start with this. However I still feel Ole's quality should be used at home.I'd love to see him play as well but the 4-4-1-1 formation is vital!
He scopred the first goal from a set-piece and he would have been in the box irrespective of the formation:tongue: and when he scored the second goal,United were actually back to the 4-4-2 formation and Ole was partnering ruud up front while Giggs was on the right flank. And Ole scored his 2 goals while United still played 4-4-1-1 with Giggsy up front and Ole on the right wing...
Ok, no need to be a pedantic cnutK-2 said:
