1. How do I get the "clear" color? For example if my design is to be placed on a website like an avatar, how do I make the background of the image "clear" so thst it blends in with the background color of the site instead of the image being on a white square? I hope I'm making sence...

2. How do you make animated images? Again, like on peoples avatars there are frames in a slideshow, that repeat themselves. For example if you are a Holland fan, you van Nistelrooy, then Davids, then chaniging to the KNVB badge. How is this done?

Answer to the two questions:

.gif files... (1)
animated .gif (2)

And there are several editors to create (2) I think.

There used to be this program I had called Irfanview which could make 2) but I changed my OS and my PC doesn't want to download it anymore. :lazy:

You should be able to use the 'Magic Wand' tool in Adobe PhotoShop to make the background of the .gif file transparent. That's one way that I know of :)
