31 May Hungary - Croatia

the tournament in Bruxelles won't be held for whatever reasons, too good I didn't buy my airticket yet, so it will be replaced by this one. so it will be the official euro 2012 joint bid final game in Budapest. :D

It's just the few times Croatian/Hungarian NT/clubs met (mainly Dinamo vs. MTK, and a recent WC 2006 qualifier) there seemed to be more Croatian fans at the match
:D hehehe as I just said before, MTK fans they are 5 of them, 2 of them are members here, and that NT match was irrelevant for both sides, you already qualified, we already confirmed our 4th place in the group. :proud: but there were some 1000s Hungary fans at the first game in Zagreb (the one you won 3-0)

Okostojás says: since Hungary is not part of the Balkans (altough in some ways tending to be, just look the 'worst' Balkans mentality in some football clubs and every day life:p), calling this match as a Balkan derby is incorrect. A Greece-Croatia match would be Balkans derby for sure (altough Croatia is a Catholic state and literally only it's southern part is the part of the Balkans).

Don't throw rocks at me, but I'm a historian, reading such statements is a kind of insult to me:smileani:
literally spoken, the Balkan is a hegység in Bulgaria so no team except Bulgaria can claim the proper balkanity. ok that dude Zeune called the entire south-east of europe the balkan peninsula but that was a geographical mistake anyways. mentality wise though we are as "balkanic" as can be. :D

they filmed us eating tökmag :D

it was also nice to meet King Béla :proud:

as for the game, BoBo and Marci really looked shaky. especially Marci doesn't seem too confident in most situations. I blame him for the goal, then that silly fisting looked ridiculous. if we have to rely on him we are lost.

the others: Juhász and Vaskó superstars. Huszti a great fighter with skills, Gera some great moves, did some nice összjáték with Hajnal, Dárdai and Vadócz a good dm team too. Juji wasn't too convincing this time, Bodnár neither, but both weren't awful either. I rather have Szél than Boci in the rb position. Orosz did nothing. Németh should have come in.

1-1 a decent result, although I must say I am a bit disappointed.
