during the game after some challenge he lost balance and hit his head on the concrete wall which was like directly by the sideline. he lost consciousness and after he was examined by the doctors severa head injury and a hematoma in the brain's envelope was discovered and he was operated immediately and apparently he was stable after the operation, but then somewhere along the way his condition began to deteriorate, he fell into a come and now this morning he died.
And it was a top division game?

Sadly looks like the authorities only take measures to prevent something like this to happen when someone dies.......

How old was he?

and this country wanted to host Euro 2012? when the 5th biggest city in Croatia has a stadium like that....:(

This news really shocked me, because I have a soft spot for Zadar, and this horrific accident will overshadow all the good things they did this season

Also the player who on Cibalia must really be effected as well, but no reason for any player to die because he was playing a sport :(

Also, what is the HNS doing? I know its all too late, but it really angers me seeing two senior citizens in charge of one of the better teams in the world, yet they are so clueless when it comes to the league and domestic matters. The HNS needs somebody more modern and younger in charge

Unbelievable that something like this can happen at a football match yet when it comes to the HNL administrators nothing surprises us. I can't imagine what his family is going through at the moment.

He was 24, he spend his whole career in Zadar, except for 2 seasons at FC Zagreb.
He was a local lad, his family is from Zemunik Donji, better known as the home of Zadar Airport.

I'm so sad.. He was really a nice guy. I've met him 2 months before he joined Zadar, when he was preparing for a transfer to Medjimurje..
Had small talk about football and NK Zagreb, exchanged phone numbers and heard from time to time..

I was really hoping he would be ok. And today on my way to Zagreb Auto Show, father called me to say to me that he died. :frownani:

He was a modest person, nice guy standing hard on his feet. We will all miss you, Hrvoje.

Rest in peace and may the angels guard you.
