The Hungarians weren't so bad, our quarrel was with the Hungarian authorities but never with Hungarian people, most of whom do not harbour expansionist aspirations towards our land.

Some people lie so much they begin to believe the verbal diareha that flows from their mouths.

They aren't aware that they are believing incredible fantasies, they are certain that it all must be true. It's a collective psyche that psychologists could a spend a lifetime studying..

hungarian authorities were in fact austrian authorities after 1683 and turkish authorities between 1526 and 1683. but never mind, hungarian culture was always dominated by the live-and-let-live motto, hence freedom of language, culture, religion etc. ruled during the centuries.

I was just wondering why the thread starter called that terrorism.

Tko je reka jebali ga caca, tko je reka jeba li ga caca.....
Da su Hrvati I Srbi braca, Da su Hrvati I Srbi braca.... ;)

What else did you think I was going to write for the second verse :lala:

Khuen Hedervary was a prick who tried to impose Hungarian everything on Croatians/Croatia. He was of Austrian decent true, but he became Magyarized. Whatever at least Croatians and Hungarians/Austrians split without having 10 wars and senseless killing of civilians. Even Russians allowed the break-up of the Soviet union without much bloodshed(except Chechnya), but Serbs are a special case, that's why they had so many psychiatrists always(Karadzic, Raskovic etc...) :howler:

No offence, but the Hungarian authorities weren't too nice towards us for a while.

Especially after the the reforms creating the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Some even call Zrinski Hungarian which (ethnically speaking) he was not.

Furthermore, it was always Budapest who persuaded Vienna NOT to re-incorporate all of the old lands of Kralj Tomislav's kingdom after the borders of 1699 were set, which co-incedentally resemble some borders of today.

If Zagreb had their way back then, who knows what would have happened.

That being said, take it easy on the language, no need to start.

what would you expect if a oppressed country once and all of a sudden gets the chance to oppress others, practically within the same system they have been oppressed in? :D
however, croatian is and was official second language in certain areas of hungary where croatian minorities live, although there were tendencies of magyarization in the late 19th century.

so, cheers

Sanyi, please don't take that personally.

I'm just saying that's what happened, that's all. The Madari are no worse for it.
