What do you think? We have always had at least few pretty good players who couldn't miss any big event with the national team.

But who do we have nowadays?

Ferrari - probably
Marchionni - don't think...
Castellini - ???

Let's vote in our poll and discuss.

I think that many players will be closed to the EURO but only Matteo and Anthony will represent Parma in Portugal. :(

Marchionni - 25%

Well, Marchionni' situation is not the best. Camoranesi has been impoving since January and will be back on form IMO. And Fiore is still the second choice for Trap IMO. Anyway Marco has played twice for the NT and was twice average. Also in the league- his form is average, where is his November form? Even Santana perform better.

Ferrari - 90%

Well, he's been better than Legro, Materazzi is out, Cannavaro off form... Only injury could stop our capitano.

Frey - 35%

4 french GKs are prefered over Seba. If they ignored him again it would be a huge crime. But I think they will. If he traveled to Portugal he would be the third choice anyway.

Barone - 10%

He has never been called up so he won't play in Portugal IMO. But he's good enough to be at least on the bench.

Bonera - 15%

An in-form Bonera would be the first choice for the RB IMO as Oddo and Panucci are jokes. But he's been injured/off form for a long time. I don't see this happening.

Castellini - 10%

Why not?

Seric - 70%

I don't know what's his situation in the NT.

Morfeo - 5%

Totti, Miccoli, Del Piero, Pirlo, Maresca...

Gilardino - 25%

He's growing!

Oh please change someone (Amo or Marten) the name of Castellini to Marcello. I can't believe I made such an idiotic mistake.
:D you wanted the other Castellini deep down right?

I'm honest: only Ferrari and Seric would be able to go to Portugal with their national teams, unless they're (unfortunately) injured, or there would be some miracles happening to Barone, Bonera and the likes...

Agree with Shanie! :)

Ferrari will go to Portugal for sure!

He is a regular NT-member now!

I think Seric will go, too, but dunno his exact situation in NT...

That Frey won´t make iot is a shame, but he seems to have problems with all the French NT-coaches...:(:(:(

Perhaps Marco will make it if he finds his form in spring...:hopefull:
Would be great!:proud:
Same for Gila!

Unfortunately Trap ignores Barone.... Dunno why???:(:(:(

So he and Bonera will only make it if some players get injured....

Castellini and Morfeo have no chances at all IMO...

Sebastien Frey (France)
Seb won't go for sure. If he was going he would have been called up now.

Daniele Bonera (Italy)
It would be a big surprise if he was called up for the EC. He could be called for some friendlies but to go to Portugal he still lacks something.

Matteo Ferrari (Italy)
Matteo will go for sure. If he's lucky he could even get to play.

Marcello Castellini (Italy)
Nah. Nesta, Cannavaro, Ferrari, Materazzi, Iuliano, Adani...

Anthony Seric (Croatia)
I don't know his situation but he will probably be called.

Simone Barone (Italy)
No, I don't think so. The squad who will go to Portugal is probably fixed already and there are better choices. Ambrosini, Pirlo, Zanetti, Perrotta, Liverani, Tommasi...

Marco Marchionni (Italy)
I think Marco can be called as a late suprise and to be Camo's sub. Italy lack offensive wingers and I feel that Marco can add something.

Domenico Morfeo (Italy)
In this position Italy have so many players so I don't think so.

Alberto Gilardino (Italy)
No. Seems highly unlikely. Vieri, Inzaghi, Montella, Di Vaio, Corradi, Bazzani...

how Frey isnt first keeper for France is a freaking joke really!!

i expect Ferrari to be in the squad...if cannavaro doesnt pull up his socks this season, ferrari may even partner nesta.

Seric the Judas arsehole will make it for Croatia.

I think that he was born in Australia, but opted to play for the Croatian NT.
Ahhh...well Croatia might hold more prestige for the fellow...

I certainly hold Croatia higher then Australia but I see Australia as an up and coming nation in footballing terms.

I think it's wrong to judge him just because he picked Croatia think of the miles he has to travel... but in all seriousness would Seric be picked for Australia? Or would it be a case like Frey where he is neglected?
