I think if he played for a smaller club than AC, he would get more hype, but playing alongside Maldini and Nesta, it's hard to get many headlines.

Still, I think he has been among AC's more consistent performers over the past 3 seasons.

He's a good player, not top notch, but certainly good.

You kidding? Samuel is THE WALL, man! Kaladze just looks like he ran face-first into one.

Not really someone I think should get the hype he does. He is no better than Ufa.
Let's just say I prefer Kaladze in defense on my team than Ufa, though I have both on my XT Fantasy League team :pp

After being treated to seeing Maldini partnering Nesta at centre-back for a few years it's little harsh in comparing Kaladze to what they did together. He is solid, but can be mistake prone too. On several occasions he's made huge unecessary errors that have led to goals. NO defender is 100% mistake-free but Kaladze takes it too far. One great strength of his which Ancelotti doesnt exploit (due to Kaladze's wishes) is his versatility. He can play at DM and is a great LB (defensively more than offensively). He owned Figo when we played Real back in the 02/03 season.

Agreed. He's nothing special I must say, but he gets the job done and is solid in big games, which in itself is a big accomplishment.

A good CB but I think he would be better at LB...............
He offers very little going forward.

A very solid defender. Not in the Nesta and Ferdinand mold but more in the Cannavaro/Terry type. However he wouldn't considered as elite as the 4 CBs that I just mentioned.

Not in the Canna/Terry mold either. Kakha has no natural position and it's basically what has hurt him. Otherwise, he's a really good well-rounded player. You can compare him to Chivu in terms of position but he doesn't have the same defensive bite and technique, but more speed.

His lack of natural position has let him make poor decisions and make mistakes sometimes, but he's doing okay...

He's definatley not as mistake prone as he used to be. Good defender, maybe not of the highest quality but he's good.
