25.1.04 - Honduras fell 3:1 to Norway in the finals of the 2004 Carlsberg Cup held at the Hong Kong Stadium on Sunday.

The catrachos had advanced to the championship game after defeating the Hong Kong Select XI 1:0 on 22 January, while Norway blanked Sweden 3:0 in an earlier encounter.

Harald Brattbakk gave Norway a 1:0 edge in the 2004 Carlsberg Cup Final with a goal in the 26th minute, but two minutes later Saul Martínez notched the equalizer (1:1) for Honduras.

Norway took the lead (2:1) into halftime with a tally by Frode Johnsen in the 37th minute. In second half, Norway put the game away with four minutes remaining with a goal by Magne Hoset in the 3:1 final.

In an earlier match, Sweden topped the Hong Kong Select XI 3:0 for the third-place honours.
