Well it´s time for a crazy topic again :)

I´m sick of ( basiclly I have such a bad hangover from a worthless party ) boring topics so I´ve decided to start some seriously mindblowing topics. Starting right now:

Hollywood 11:

Goalie: John Malkovich - Arrogant and confident like few other on this planet, Malkovich is the perfect goalie. Will never let you not notice him and will never let you down ( although Malkovich did once ruin a CL win with his extremely lame attempt to dribble past 3 midfielders we call it the " Con Air " )

Right defender: Benico Del Toro - A favourite with the ladies this defender is a true mega talent with his amazing runs on the right wing. Benico however does not often talk to the press and you never hear about him, this guy does his talking when theres a big game and few will forget his triumphant game in Euro1996 where he scored after a reciving a brilliant pass. Some say it was offside but we call it " The usual suspects " - BRILLIANT !!

Central defender: Harrison Ford - Most people call this defender boring and often talk about his glory days, the " Indy era ". However one must not forget that this is one solid defender who rarely screws up on the job. His passing has gotten worse " random hearts, seven days " but what he lacks in speed and passing he makes up for with sheer experince.

Left defender: Ralph Fiennes - Odd choice some might say but he´s the perfect partner for Harrison. Ralph is the weaker of the defenders and my god no one will ever forget when he butchered Anelka at the Uefa Cup Final causing a penalty and a lost game for his team - Ralph defended the situation and claimed " Avengers " shouldn´t have been a red card.

Midfield:

Right wing: Edward Norton - Everyone says he should be playmaker since he´s showing skills most other players would die to have, but for now this mega talent will have to make way for the more experienced playmaker of the team. How could you describe Edward ?? He has only played at the highest level for a few years but already he has had a string of amazing performances at crucial games and who can forget him in the World Cup 94 " American History X " if I may say so myself. Recently he single handedly decided the Euro2000 with a hattrick that will be talked about for years. It was briliant team work with his striker partner and people dubbed it " The Fightclub ".

Defensiv Midfielder: Bobby De Niro - Never a bad game from this player, never. Bobby has been since his breakthrough a leader of his team, you could call him " godfather 2 " but it wouldn´t be fair since he changes his appearance so often he´s impossible to label. Nickednamed " Taxidriver " because of his runs up and down the pitch Bobby seems to never run out of steam.

Playmaker: Christopher Walken - " The Deer Hunter " is the only player in the world worth seeing only because it´s him. No other player has such charisma, style and briliance. Never moving an inch on his face it´s impossible to say whether he´s happy, sad or indifferent. How often have we not seen Mr Walked, no Sir Walken capture the moment like non of his peers can, remember his solo runs in the epic Champions leauge final " True Romance " or his amazing run in WC86 where he single handedly beat england " Pulp Ficition ". Any team could only dream of having such a playmaker and we all wish he could go on forever.

Left Wing: Ewan McGregor - Something of a wildchild, Ewan can never get along with his coach and is a rebel with the media. However no on can doubt this guys on pitch presence. The future is with this one and he has just signed a trilion dollar contract for three years with media mogul George Lucas - the by press called " Episode 1,2 and 3 ".

Attack:

Going for sheer goals per game :)

Right attacker: Keanu Reeves - One game sums it all up " The Matrix " this striker can seem totally out of it and then suddenly it´s there. Who could forget the first time they saw him play at " Point Break ". His strength ?? " Speed "

Central attacker: Tom Cruise - The Batistuta of Hollywood Dream 11. Always delivers.

Left attacker: Brad Pitt - This man once scored " Seven " goals in one game and since that he is a legend. No one will forget his teamwork with right wing Edward Norton in the game the media dubbed " The Fightclub " but does anyone remember his redcard in WC98 where he lying down kicked the Argentine player Simeone ?? When he returned to his country he might has well stayed " Seven Years in Tibet ".

Coach of Hollywood Dream 11: Stanley Kubrick - No one has ever had a more delicate mind for details the Maestro Kubrick and the way he drives his players to give 110% and sometimes more " The shining, clockwork orange ". Recently we saw his team bow out after their worst national performance in recent history ( last 40 years ) with a terrible game against low budget " Blair witch " where the unknown actor Sergio Conceciao scored a hattrick ( Forza Lazio ale ale ale ). Much can be said about this man but one thing is sure - he´ll be the manager of this team atleast until " 2001 ".

Not even on the bench: Kurt " can someone please shoot me " Russel, Al " Is this the set of Scarface " Pacino, Sylvester " But I am Rocky " Stallone and winner of worst player ever award Jean " got punched to many times " Claude " this name is to silly for words " Wan " doesn´t end yet " Damme " now it did.

Movie Company owner: Sergio " buy them expensive sell the cheap " Cragnotti.

Thanks for reading :)

Well, Svennis, not really a scudetto stuff, but perhaps the Oscar...

Now a female team, mmmmmmmmmm!

Goalkeeper: Pamela Anderson, the "Ballwatch" is a must for the goalkeepers, and Pam has a long experience in that! And she's a specialist in saving (lifes and goals). Some problems with forwards, they could mistake the ball for a couple of other round things which Pam is famous for...

Right back: Sharon Stone, a veteran defender who has the "Basic Istinct" of stopping all those bold forwards who dare getting too close to goal.

Sweeper: Sandra Bullock, a sweeper must have "Speed" enough in order to stop the opponent who is going to put the ball "In the Net".

Central defender: Demi Moore, famous for making the opponents' striker appear a "Ghost". And if the striker gets rid of her, she's always ready to do a "Striptease". And then the striker will be stopped, for sure!

Left back: Kate Winslet, physically very strong, as a "Titanic" left back should be in order to push forward and help the midfielders to feed the strikers.

Right winger: Drew Barrymore, a little fast winger who can run opponents ragged by playing like a "Poison Ivy" and make them "Scream".

Right midfielder: Neve Campbell, a baby-faced midfield battler, often underestimated by her team-mates, but never the less she's able to "Scream" to them and do "Wild Things".

Left midfielder: Catherine Zeta-Jones, the team's playmaker, a true specialist in getting over the opponents' "Entrapment" and she's "The Haunting" of all the other teams.

Left winger: Denise Richards, another fast player, she too does "Wild Things" and for all her skill "The World is not enough".

Right forward: Nicole Kidman, a tall striker always ready "To Die For" goals, full of "Malice", she is "Far and Away" the "Leading Woman" of this team.

Left forward: Letitia Casta, she is simply outstanding, the classy touch in this team. If you have never seen her (playing or not), you have really missed something!

President, general manager, trainer, doctor, masseur, coach: ME, ME, MEEEEEEEEEEEE.

..oh you Italians....I actually saw a Laetitia interview on Rai 1 and it featured the most authentic director work I have ever seen. This guy (I strongly suspect it was a guy) just did not bother most of the time to show the interviewer of Laetitia talking. He did what we, the male audience would have done, if at the scene. He simply zoomed in and actually followed those interesting body parts of Laetitia IN CLOSE UPS LIKE ALL THE TIME. This guy must direct the CL appearances of you team, Aquila :)

Brilliant work from svennis and Aquila makes a day in which I see all of my favourite European teams go through and win 160£ from the quarterfinal results perfect.
I don't quite get the definate benching of Al Pacino and would have liked to see Kevin Spacey feature more prominently in the side. Quite possibly instead of Keanu "I made one goal that will always be remembered... and nothing else" Reeves. Other than that I find it a VERY strong side :).

On the womens team I'm too dizzy to think of other possibilities than Elle MacPherson, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie and Heidi Klum.

Favourite player: Laetitia Casta.... By a mile :).

Ciao.

Svennis I'm dissapointed...Al Pacino on the bench? a starter on my cards.Ewan McGregor and Cristoffer Walken have long way to do before getting even close to Big Al.

Where is Nicolas Cage? where the hell is Dustin Hoffman? how about Roberto Benini? ts ts ts...

The most classy player is Neve Cambell.By a mile. You know how much I rate Laetitia Casta (I'm the first who brough this name to Xtratime,Aquila followed) but Neve is my dream girl (eehh...I mean right midfielder). She is my Hollywood FUSER.Heheh, got it! :)

PS.Svennis,another UNFORGIVABLE mistake.Its Robert De Niro,not Bobby! :)

PS2.Placing Pamela Andersson as a goalkeeper would be a tragic mistake because:

a) everyone "scores" with her :)
b) she would spent her time rubbing on the posts rather than making saves

svennis' dream team:

The Brad Pitt's part is the easiest to guess! You should have made it harder (well, actually he and Beckham are quite similar in terms of looks too, so...).

Nice work :)

Forza Lazio

AMO; At the Brazilian forum you noted that Ze and I was always trying to correct you....
I didn't have the intention before, but as you think it's already an established pattern I WILL do it now :).

Svennis is right in fact. Bobby (or Bob) is the English pet-abreaviation of Robert. He was just trying to use nicknames like we do in the football world :).

On Laetitia; You may have been the first who mentioned it here, but she was MY pick for wallpaper even before she did her first Sports Illustrated cover. Top that!
Neve Campbell- eat your heart out :).

Ciao.

I didnt knew this about Robert and Bobby...sorry Svennis! :)

On Laetitia, you may have her as backround but you have never seen her live. The only thing you have is the brat Martina Higgins.BUT I have seen Mrs Casta live. She was in Greece for a demonstration and here at Thessaloniki she was walking in the street along with about 5 photographers, and two bodyguards. And there I am,walking from the opposite direction...when I came close I said "bonjur Laeticia" (French is useful sometimes) and she greed back.TOP THAT! :D

Neve Cambell is top top top top!

How about some good back-up? Surely, Gary Oldman would qualify. In one of his most obscure outings, his coach, Bram Stoker, dubbed him "Dracula" because he seemed to have a thirst for blood on that day. And remember when he dedicated that great bicycle-kick goal to his "Immortal Beloved", and, in the same game, kicked the ball so hard into the back of the net that his foot started to bleed. The next day, all the headlines read: "Romeo is Bleeding"! But, his parents, "Sid and Nancy", say that his "True Romance" has always been football.

And who can forget Dennis Hopper? He's nick-named "Blue Velvet" for his love of the sheets of the same name that he always takes to away games. He's also very well-known for his "Speed". But, he caught his big break early on in his career with a fine performance in one of his first outings. He played in the shadow of another great on that day, but still managed to WOW the critics with his "rebellious" style of play (I'll let you Movie-Buff's figure that one out), and subsequently was dubbed "Rumble Fish" for upsetting the defense in a Final held in a seaside town. And then, there was the 1979 European Cup Final in which he declared "Apocalypse Now" before the kick-off.

Others that deserve honorable mention are, in no particular order, Samuel L. Jackson, Matt Dillon, Marlon Brando, Joe Pesci, Mickey Rourke, etc., etc.

And I seriously think that Jennifer Lopez needs to be benched, or maybe even traded. Her form is off as of late. She has good upper body shape, but her a*s*s and thighs are WAY TOO BIG, therefore making her a bit slow.

A few years back I wouldnt even think about including Bruce Willis on the bench...but his playing has been improved dramatically lately.

Courtney Cox also scores some Scream(ers) when she plays with Neve Cambell.Maybe we should try them together? Denice Richards is just too average for a starter...

Svennis Svennis Svennis, how could you not put da main man Al in the team...c'mon Keanu "Mr Wooden-and-not-even-a-pretty-face-to-go-with-it" he had such a "Bogus Journey" with his mate Bill. But Al, well he went "Carlito's Way" and set a trend!

If we are talking purely looks, then George Clooney has to be in there somewhere, great to have in an "emergency" from "Dusk 'til Dawn", then there is Jude Law, such a "talented" boy. Antonio Baderas is the lone "Assassin" up front.

And for coaches how could we forget Alfred Hitchcock he came in "North-by-Northwest" but gave the "Birds" "Vertigo" with his "Psycho" thrillers

As for women Selma Heyek is so stunningingly gorgeous and this is coming from a female! As for Pammy Anderson in goal, c'mon Aquila, the ball would puncture her!

Thanks for bothering to read :) I was having much fun writing the post and obviously I didn´t have time to sit and seriously consider the team.

But I´m sticking with my benching of Al ( but I am Tony Montana ) Pacino since he absolutely can not accept the film over the actor. Al is always trying to make people focus more on his character then the film in itself and he aaalllllways overdoes it.

My striking team is without comparison the best :) and the comments are perfect ( Tom Cruise = Batistuta. Couldn´t be said better ).

I agree on the midfield with such megasuperstars as Russel Crowe, Kevin Spacey and more.

As directors I could never go for anyone but Kubrick since I see him as the greatest ever ( Orson Wells go home ) but there are of course other great " Misters " ( Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg ( no we didn´t see hook ), David Fincher and many many more )

David Fincher = Zac
Steven Spielberg = Lippi ( always the mega budget and many epics )
Kubrick = Fascetti
Michael Mann = Eriksson ( calm under fire )

By the way .. I´m really looking forward to seeing X-men :) if any of you read the comix in your youth ( man that made me feel old :) ) you´ll know what I mean. I hope that Bryan ( usual suspects ) Singer will do for X-Men what the W bros did for Matrix.

Alexx, that's exactly what a public service like RAI must do, feeding people with what they want.

C'mon Svennis, I still don't see one of the best players around, the great Robert Carlyle. He can do a Simeone-like kind of play (like in "Trainspotting") and is also a Veròn-like playmaker (like in "The Full Monty")!

As for Jennifer Lopez, she's my assistant coach. Someone has Tord Grip, I have Jennifer. She's going to stay by my side on the bench, I don't want her to be too "Out of Sight".

Amo, Denise Richards is not average, just watch "Wild Things", she made fanstastic midfield pair together with Neve!

Svennis well I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about Pacino and Hitchcock...but I'm disappointed in you! :)
