Former England coach Glenn Hoddle has insisted Robbie Fowler is a 'brilliant finisher' - but he admits he would leave him out of the England squad on fitness grounds.
Hoddle, now in charge at Southampton, is a big fan of the Liverpool striker, but he believes the tournament has come around too quickly for a man who has played so little football this season.
He says: 'Robbie Fowler is a brilliant, instinctive finisher. But I don't think he has the time to prove his real match fitness and so I would leave him behind.'

And this is from the same man that took Darren "Sicknote!" Anderton to World Cup 98 after a similar run of Injuries for spurs!
Just goes to prove that England were right to get rid of him!
