After tonight's game everyone knows what football is about. Raul is simply ingenious! What Redondo did with that backheel means he's untouchable (at least for now :)) Let's face it we crushed Manchester at their place - Old Trafford. We anialaited them. Only McManaman can be blamed for the result, because I really have no idea what he was goin' for in that part of the field? Casillas played excellent as always, but I dare say we were simply better for the whole first half and 20 minutes of the second. La Liga rulez!!!!!!

That was a brilliant performance. Casillas is indeed very impressive. I admire him for being so cool in any kind of situation.

Labas, I am pleased to hear you mention Redondo ;) Because he really is an outstanding player. His infulence is vital for Real. He ran trough a bad patch earlier on, but now he is BACK :)

Now we have our revenge against Bayern... I just can't wait till then :)

HALA MADRID :)

A POR LA OCTAVA !!!

What a great match! Both teams played great but in the end, Real deservingly won. I'll never lambast Redondo again after he did the most amazing thing I've seen this season. Not even when he's horrible! He's got his place in Real Madrid lore now! And Raul, what can I say that we don't all know?!

------

And now, for something I've been planning to do after we beat them...

To the select type of Man U fans out there, the ones not gifted with the gift of logic...

MAN U LOST!
THEY ARE OUT!
3-2!
THE FAIRY TALE IS OVER!
OLD TRAFFORD IS NOT INVINCIBLE!
ROY KEANE: OWN GOAL!
THERE ARE OTHER BETTER TEAMS IN THE WORLD!
THERE ARE OTHER BETTER PLAYERS IN THE WORLD!
AND NOT EVERY ONE OF THEM WOULD WANT TO PLAY FOR MAN U, SPECIALLY SINCE...
MAN U LOST!
MAN U LOST!
MAN U LOST!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Just made sure you never ever forget!

Cheers!

Regulate, A deflection is bad luck, a missed penalty call is bad luck, a wrong off-side call is bad luck. But when there are already 2 MU players (of which one is the keeper) taking care of a situation, it WAS a really stupid move by Keane. You can call it bad luck, but the goal could have been prevented so easily. It was Keane's fault, not bad luck.

MU was dominant in the second half (not so in he first), but what did you expect? They neede two goals, of course they will dominate the game possession-wise. But does that mean they would have deserved to win? Hardly. Real played a good tactical game and scored twice on counter-attacks. The first one of those was Silvestre's fault (BTW the keeper was van der Gouw, not Bosnich), and the second one Stam's and Berg's.

MU had to attack and take risks. That way they got more chances, naturally. But Casillas had to make one great save (on Keane), otherwise the MU shots were bad.

If Campo would have been booked and Beckham not, it would have been an outrage. Beckham initiated the whole thing and then went on to dive and whine. Campo caught Beckham in the leg with his hand. There's no way that could have hurt but Cocky Spice falls and starts to cry. He should learn something from Keane in that department. Anyway he's not the only player to do that.

Real deserved it's win, because it won 3-2. MU would have needed two more goals. How can you say they were the better team? Goals are what matter.

So I have a double standard? Would you please tell me when I have said MU being lucky. I respected their comeback in the CL final last season. They showed great spirit. They showed great spirit again last night. They were just worse football team than Real Madrid. If you disagree with that, it's your problem, but football games will be always solved by the number of goals scored.

Labas, don't say foolish things. Madrid did not "crush" Manutd. They were very lucky. An obvious handball in the box by Karanka in the first half should have been a penalty. And then Campo attacked Beckham after the whistle and didn't even get a yellow card. The refereeing was poor, and the result didn't reflect the waves of beautiful attacks that Manchester orchestrated. That said, Madrid did play well, however, and Raul was simply incredible. However, Madrid's best player was Casillas, who kept out two one on ones and other fine efforts from the english.

Real DID crush Man Utd. I saw the replay ten times and still I'm not sure if the ball hit Karanka's hand or not. So it was no way an obvious handball.

The first goal was just idiotic from Keane. He should never have gone for that ball. So it's not Real's luck, it's ManU's badness.

Campo attacked Beckham??!! What game did you watch? Beckham made a really bad tackle (he should have been booked) and then HE ran into Campo and dived disgustingly. The ref saw that also but didn't have the nerve to book Beckham. Anyway, Beckham aside from his great goal sucked. Keane, although he was bad tonight, and Giggs are MUCH more important to MU than him.

Referee was good. Raul was great but Redondo was the man of the match. There are no excuses for anybody: Real Madrid was a better team than Manchester United tonight.

I'm going to be honest, I still think that Man UTd was the better team (by the way I am not a Utd supporter, I support Arsenal). I give credit to Madrid for playing well, but you guys make it sound like Man UTd played badly. Please, just admit that Man Utd domnated the possesion, had more chances (Beckham and Keane both had 1 v 1 with the goalie, you know), but lacked in the finishing department. Real took their chances, couter attacked well, and defended like crazy. If you call that beautiful football, well then that is your opinion.

Also, I love how you all are always saying how lucky manutd is, and then when Madrid gets really lucky with an own goal, suddenly it is not Madrid's good luck, it is Manutd's badness. You have a double standard Kafka, and you know it.

And yes, it was a hand ball on Karanka, and yes, Campo should have been booked for attacking Beckham.

yeah regulate, i agree that Campo should have been booked for attacking Beckham, but even Beckham should have been booked too. anyway that would not have changed the game would it.
And then again Man United had many many chances but they did not play well tonite, because if you are the better team there is no way you are going to be 3-0 down, i think that it was pretty much equal because after scoring their goals we should clearly understand that there was a need for Real to defend, it doesn't matter whether it is good football or bad...it was very appropriate for the moment and they did defend well.
As for Casillas, he is apart of the team and the credit that goes to him goes to the whole team because he is apart of the team.
and then one more thing, this is the happiest day in football this year and it will remain so..because think about if Man United had won the Champions league again, that would be HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl
:) :) :)

Seriously - What A GAME!!

It was about time ManUre were brought back down to earth ... they beat Juve and Inter last year when both teams sucked ...

Amazing game by Raul and Redondo...

Its so infuriating to hear ManUre excuses - Collina is a bad referee (whatever), handball (yeah right), foul by Campo (wusses) ...

If we have our screwup Anelka - ManUre has their $80,000/week own-goal machine in Keano ...

Real all the way - and now for revenge against the Bayern crapMunchers!!!

Barca, Manure, Lazio, Juve, etc. - Pretenders to Real's throne ...

I'm so glad that Real won and prove to the world that Man.Utd is plain over hyped team. Man Utd might have good midfielders in Giggs and Beckham but their defense is just too crap. Real didn't had that many chances but they took them and thats what counts!

Every one saw how Real dominated this match, especially Redondo in the midfield.
This demonstrates that Man U is not all that and that the english league is not up to the standards of the spanish league

Man Utd did play well, they produced many attacks, especially in when they were 3-0 down, it's obvious to attack then, and if it wasn't for Casilla's brilliance, Man Utd would once again have come from behind to draw 3-3 or maybe even sneak in that fourth goal. I still couldn't belive that 2nd Raul goal, no one was marking him, it was so obvious for a player advancing down the left to try and place it to an on-coming player heading for goal, and so it did, Raul, and no-one was marking him. Bosnich looked absolutely furious with his defence.
