FERNANDO HIERRO is being tracked by two Italian teams - and Real Madrid have hinted that they may be prepared to lose their Spanish international.
Hierro, one of the stars of Euro 2000, is being closely tracked by Roma and another, as yet unnamed, Serie A side.

32-year-old Hierro still has two years left on his contract, and is refusing to comment on speculation that he will leave, although Real themselves have suggested that they will actively help the player to move.

The player's agent Zoran Vekic has admitted he has been approached by two Italian teams, and if the valuation meets that of the Madrid side, then Hierro could be playing in Serie A as early as next season.

Could it be Inter????

No, Lippi knows that Inter doesn't need him, he would prefer some young player...

Hierro is the one of the most out of sorts injury prone awkward and violent player sin the game.

18 months ago Hierro did his name proud "his name means IRON" but not now.

I have never seen one player degenerate totally in the space of 18 months....he is horrible now. Whenever he plays for Real Madrid or Spain they leak goals like water through a 5 meter wide hole.

Its ridiculous how injury prone he is. It is a sick joke for some one to say that he should come to Italy he is a joke and a very rude one at that.

Helguera is by far a much more cultured defender who can play anywhere in defence or midfield for that matter.

Top class anywhere.

You got that right Recoba if it were not for his injury he would have kept playing and the goals would have kept going in against Madrid.

They better thank that guy from Celta Vigo that did him in.

Yes he is old. But Blanc wasn't the youngest player Inter signed last season. Hierro is one of the best defending sweeper type players in the world. He has bad injuries, so does Vieri and Roanldo. Inter should get him, they need as many defenders as they can get. Lets face it, they have Blanc and thats it. I'm talking about class defenders like Thuram, Cannavaro, Nesta, Montero etc...

What the hell are you talking about Cug......you don't mean class defenders you mean BIG NAME defenders.

Cordoba and SImic lack nothing. These two are breakinging into that little elite group everyone always talks about of Thuram Nesta Canavarro and co. GET REAL.....do you even watch Cordoba and SImic?

Two outstanding players.......what is wrong with making our own players. Get real......i'm tired of people thikng that INTER is a super-star convention and only popular players should play at INTER......Cordoba and Simic are excellent defenders......just look at their marking jobs on guys like Totti and Bierhoff......Crespo and the like.....

Every player at INTER doesn't have to be the star of his respective national team......Cordoba is one of the top ten defenders in the world and SImic surely in the top 20.

Be realistic.....

FORZA SIMIC FORZA CORDOBA!!!!!!!!!!!

Hierro is ridiculously injury prone and lacks organization gives up silly free kicks and is slow. You cannot compare Hierro to Blanc....there are in different classes because Blanc doesn't get injured like Hierro does.

His time has gone.......Hierro is pathetic and needs to be retired. The back three at Real Madrid plays very very well. Campo Helguera and Karanka.....no big names just hard working dedicated players.....GET A CLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hierro whould probably know it himself that the best way for him to finish his career is at real madrid or another spanish team!!

He is still a big name and it would be great if he could finish on a high not a season on the bench with Inter and many disputes will Lippi about playing time

FORZALAZIO!
