yeah..they got exclusive canadian rights...which quickley translates into british TV. All games will be shown, some live and others tape delay.

You guy's have a inferiority complex. Don't watch the games then if you don't like the coverage.
During coverage of the CL this season Figo was always being highlighted as Barca's key player.

·Excuse me!! Don't take the piss out of our commentators! I know they are a bit biased, but thats the same with any country. Maybe if you lived in a country that had its own DECENT league you might realise that!

·I can handle the bias, but the typical xenophobic commentary has to go!
Case in point, the horrible and one sided coverage of the Galatasary vs Leeds incident. True Turkish fans can be a too much, but lets not forget about the THUGS of European football, THE BRITISH. If any of you had the unfortunate opportunity to see or hear British coverage you would think that Turks were some kind of animal that should be locked up! These same idiots tend to have a short memory. Just ask Juventus fans about who the animals are! Mind you, Turks have always been badly treated and portrayed throughout Europe. Just ask Turks who live in Germany. If that doesn't get your goat, just listen to coverage of a CL game between a Spanish team or a Portuguese team and you will hear the commentators portraying Portuguese and Spanish players as cheaters and dive artists. One too many times I have heard commentators saying crap like this 'Oh that was definately a dive, but you know how they play in Spain!' This is just an extension of what most Brits think of the Portuguese and the Spanish. Most Brits tend to view Portugal and Spain as some 3rd world resort where their white trash can vacation for little money. Furthermore, most Brits tend to view The people of Spain and Portugal as people you cannot trust. Unfortunate, but true!

·Unfortunately Ola I have to agree with you. They are already talking about killing Turks in Euro 2000, lets hope for Football's sake that Turkey don't play England in the Quarter Finals.
Despite being born in England, and have lived here all my life, I have never ever cheered on England in a football match.
The one time I did kind of want England to win though was England v Argentina, purely because football feever took over the whole country! And of course Portugal were not there

Certain British people are like this but not that many. I think the french for example are much more nationalistic. Unfortunately british football commentators tend to dumb down their commentry to the lowest common denominator, and just talk in cliches and stereotypes.
And when it comes to biased reporting and colonialism the americans now "lead the world" in that too.

·Personally, I really don't think it has anything to do with nationalism,but with ignorance and stupidity!

no not at you, i just get pissed off with people unfairly slagging my adopted country, and most of the "faults" you talk about have been vastly overshadowed by America.
What about America's military/economic terrorism as shown by the war against Yugoslavia.
The contracts to rebuild the bombed hospitals/bridges etc were posted on the World Bank website within hours of the bombing, the WB knew in advance which non-military targets were going to be destroyed by the american planes.
The contracts will be awarded to American/German/British construction firms thus providing them with a major economic boost.
World Bank = United Nations = American Govt = world military/economic colonialism/terrorism.
The American Govt has murdered more people unlawfully than every terrorist organisation in the history of the world.
